I am 35 yrs old and have acne(had acne scars since I was eleven. I think I tried everything to get rid of it .
Finally I decided to try one more aggressive treatment, if it doesn't work I am going on accutaine (have been avoiding that because of the side effects).
I went on tazorac and benzoyl peroxide 5% for several months, then couple of month ago I started microdermabrasion at docs office (had 6, 6 to go) and just added IPL laser a week ago. I am going to alternate IPL laser and microdermabrasion every 2 weeks. My skin has improved a lot, only few pimples and improved texture.have stopped everything else and just use mild cleanser and aveno sunscreen.
I need a light moisturizer or moisturizing mask and a sunscreen that would not clog my pores.
any suggestions?
thanks |

Oh Evelin, you are using too much product and ruining your skin.
For acne all you need is Paula's Choice 1% or 2% BP followed by her blemish fighting solution in the evening. Ease up on the layering of products and chemical abrasions. In the day time use her matte sunscreen (fantastic!)or use an spf foundation or tinted moisturizer. Theres lots out there at the drugstore. This is all you need for good looking complexion. |

Hi Evelin,
Have you tried Dr. Hauschka's Moisturizing Mask? Its very good for dry/very dry skin. It has a creamy texture and I've used it with good results. It can even be used as a moisturizing cream, rather than a mask.
Hope that helps. |

I think Avene may be suitable to you. First, this is one of the most gentle brands, which could help you to calm your skin. And also, the moisturizing mask of Avene is one of its best product, too. This mask really do well in keeping you skin moist. Also, I remember that Avene has a sunscreen of SPF50, you could try it. |
