I'm planning to make a book of pictures and fun moments for my fiance. I know that MAC by Apple has a program that you can make your own book and include pictures. Sort of like a scrapbook of pictures. I don't have a MAC computer, I have a PC. Does anybody know if I have to buy a program to do this? Because I think you can create your own, and then send in the requests with pictures on how you want the book to be, and pay by credit card and you will recieve the finished book by mail. I can't seem to download the program online. Anybody know anything about this? |

You can't get an Apple photo book done without iPhoto and iPhoto only runs on the Mac. The books do turn out fabulous though, so if you have access to a Mac then I highly recommend this. I'm waiting on 4 books at the moment for a friend's birthday.
In better news for Microsoft users, Apple is not the only company that provide the photo book service. Check out the following.
Shutterfly
SharedInk
ImageStation
PhotoWorks
Viovo
Blurb
These companies generally have ready themes and templates for books (similar to iPhoto). Whether you need to download software or whether they allow you to do it in the browser, I am not sure. Either way, you would only pay for the service of getting the book printed/shipped, not the use of the templates. |

Thanks Mabsy!
Which of the websites do you think has the nicest books and good prices? Anyone else use any of these websites before? |

Photoworks is running 25% discount on photobook now.
Enter coupon FALLBOOK. It expires on September 30, 2009.
Walmarts has photobooks online too.

I recommend visiting Smilebooks
Not only do they have very easy to use in-browser software, you can also download their software if you prefer. The quality of their finished product is incredible, and they are quite affordable. Im not sure if it is still active, but when I made my photobook, I used the code ZA30 for another 30% off the already great price. Let me know what you think! |
