I'm 25 years old and have never really had problem skin. I have combination skin and for the past year or so, my main problem has been acne on my chin and jawline. I know that this is probably hormonal. I even went on the pill for a while hoping it would help to calm things down, but I really don't want to be on the pill for that reason alone..and the pill has so many other bad aspects to it.
I use Cetaphil cleanser, Paula's Choice toner, and a cetaphil moisturizer. I use BP for acne spots - although I'm finding it really isn't doing anything but drying out my skin! So irritating. I've also been doing a 40% lactic acid peel once a week and I do the Queen Helene's Mint Julip mask sometimes. I also use a Mario Badescu eye cream at night.
I was considering getting the Peter Thomas Roth Glycolic toner. Do you think this would help? I also have some acne scars from the past year (I don't pick at my skin) and some minor hyperpigmentation from the days when I used to tan. I was considering getting the Obagi Clear. I wanted to see what you ladies think since you all seem to be such experts. I need help! |

If it is more prevalent on one side it can be caused by phone use, leaning on your hand on that side ect.
If none of the above, check out the OCM thread (oil cleansing method) before you say oil no way, read the thread a lot of people with break out prone skin have become complete converts with CLEAR SKIN!
