I'm not exactly an expert on mineral make up, but I recently tried a few mad minerals products and I'm really happy with them. the ingredients are really simple and there are no known irritants. Mad minerals products are also fairly inexpensive- a 20g refill bag is less than 10$, which seems like a reasonable price to me.
I got the foundation and the spf powder. I have a pretty good match to my skin tone in the "golden light" foundation, but I've also ordered some samples of their other light foundation colors in case there'll be a better match for my skin. For reference, I'm NW20 in MAC concealer, or maybe a little lighter than that. The spf powder does leave a slight white cast but it's totally fine if it's used over the foundation powder. I think I'm going to mix the foundation powder with the spf powder.
I think mad minerals make up will be a little drying on most people but it's fantastic on the oilier parts of my face for the summer. I use it over the Devita sunscreen, which is a physical sunscreen with zinc oxide.
Loose Mineral SPF Powder

Maybe they had some ingredients that your skin didn't like, such as bismuth oxide. I'm pretty sure that the mad minerals mmu is very safe... |

Unless it's the mica that breaks you out. Has anyone broken out from mica?

I don't have a problem with mica but there are ladies from the MineralMakeupMania forum that avoid mica. A few MMU companies offer mica free foundation. |

I would like to add that MAD has sales on a regular basis. Last one was 20% off. If you sign up on their site you can have notification of the sales.
A couple of products that I like from MAD:
Cream indeligeble shadows (reviewed this under cream eye shadows as primer) Basically cream to powder and makes a great primer. Assorted shades
SPF powder - great additional SS protection
green corrector concealer - covers red well |

Huh, that's interesting. I hope I don't have a problem with it.

Thanks for the heads up. When I ordered, I managed to do it during the 10% sale and I had no idea. I was surprised when a discount was applied to my total, but I didn't question it
