Which one of these is best for the face?
I heard the XL Lait is the best protection but has the white cast and the tinted cream is better for the face.
I do wear makeup, so it affecting the look of my makeup is obviously an issue...but I also have melasma that I'm trying to get rid of, AND some pretty nasty congestion in my pores...can anyone recommend based on their own experience? Do all of these have pore clogging tendencies? Thanks for any info! |

I use the one with the highest PPD, which is supposed to give you the most protection against UVA rays. The high PPD ones also have high SPF which protects against UVB.
It is true they leave a white cast, so I buy a small tube of the tinted and mix a few drops in my palm to achieve a color close to my skin.
Make sure you get an unscented one because several contain a heavy fragrance that smells like something that's been sitting on your great-grandmother's dresser for the last 20 years.
For cosmesis, look up sunscreenPPDs notepad on makeupalley for the experience of others with various LRP s/s |

I've been using Anthelios Fluide Extreme SPF50++ for a long time, it's a pretty good product! Although it's white, I don't think the white cast is much of an issue. |

I agree with the last poster. I've used that LRP on holidays and found it very good. For everyday use i use a mineral sunscreen that's spf 30. |

I have tried two different ones. I really like Hydraphrase UV 30. This is a Canadian one and also available at EDS. It feels like a moisturizer but does offer good protection. I work in an office and spend little time in the sun.
I also tried the Spray UV 30. This one would be good for oily skin and some one who does not wear a lot of face makeup. Very very matt finish. I wear MMU and found that I really prefer the Hudraphrase or a moisturizing sunscreen.
I also get the sample size tubes with purchases of the higher sunscreens. I keep these in my purse and use up in the summer. I don't sit out in the sun at all; but if I did have to be out in the sun I would try one of the higher spf of 50 or 60. |

I use Anthelios 60 Melt-in Sunscreen Lotion mostly on the weekends. This has worked pretty well for me so far. I cant say I noticed any additional breakouts from this but I dont use it daily. I did great a break out from the Anthelios SX 15 Moisturizing Cream though. |
