Hi. I want to take alpha lipoic acid capsules and am not sure if I should be taking them with meals or on an empty stomach. I also want to take bio k (like yogurt with a much higher concentration of the active cultures)for a while to shake this cold/flu I have had. If anyone knows how to best use these I would appreciate hearing. TIA Harriet ps. same question re timing and taking powdered greens drink. |

That is a great question Harriet because there seems to be conflicting answers to that question. I just happen to have bought a bottle of Alpha Lipoic Acid yesterday, and noticed they didn't specify how to take it. I'm going to take it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning, based on my research. Also, be aware that high doses of ALA depletes Biotin, so you may want to supplement. |

thanks mountaingirl. How long will you wait to have coffee (my weakness especially in the morning) or anything else? How much alpha lipoic are you taking? I will take some biotin. I bought a better quality bone builder type product and it contains it. here's to good health!! Dr Oz who I think is quite good recommends the alpha lipoic and I think Dr Perricone who also has good dietary knowledge. |
