Hi! I have really bad acne scars and discolorations on my chest, arms and shoulders. Dose anyone know if, in this case, obagi nu derm would be the right treatment ? |

It would help the discoloration. You would have to make sure to use sunscreen on your body every single day. The protocol for the body areas is a little different then for the face. You would not use the Exfoderm on your body. You would use the Clear twice a day (and this will probably get expensive, as you apply 1 gram of Clear to each arm twice a day, so you would go through a bottle very quickly). Then you would use the Blender/Retin A at night, starting with twice a week, then moving up to 3 times a week at around 4 weeks).
The Professional C may help and would probably enhance the results of the above. You would use the C serum daily in the morning before the Clear.
Have you tried just a C serum and Retin A, or even an over the counter product that contains Retinol, C, etc.? |

I've tried Neostrata and Roc and products but nothing's changed. This summer I had even more breakouts on my entire face and body so I just stopped using anything. I went to a dermatologist for two years on a regular bases. I did so many tests for my blood, hormones and allergies but everything results fine. I am 36 years old and for the last 7 years I have never wore short slaves during summer. I don't have any experiences with vitamin A or C, so I am willing to try. |

new_me, I would try getting a prescription for Retin A (or order at an online place) and picking up a topical C product and giving that a try before resorting to Nu Derm. Try that for a few months (daily sunscreen a must!!) and see how you look. Just a few nights a week for the Retin A and use the C serum every morning under your sunscreen. Good luck! |
