I just purchased the Tanda Anti-aging Therapy system and was wondering how long I can use it for in one session - they recommend 3 min per "problem area". I was wondering if you can go longer in order to get quicker results. Also, does it matter if you are sitting up or can you lie down for the treatment? Thanks |

I dont think it matters if you lay down or sit up, but from my memeory when I watched a presentation I think they said not to use more than 3 minutes per spot. Maybe you can take a look on the DIY thread as there is probably a bit more info and discussions.

Check the DIY forum. There are several LED threads there. |

I've been using the Tanda for a couple of months now. I use mine sitting up, but I'm sure you could use it laying down as well - whatever is comfortable for you. I use it one minute per spot. I did find the directions confusing; I re-read them several times and checked the company's web site.
Unfortunately I've not noticed much in the way of anti-aging results. No changes to wrinkles or lines, but I do find my skin isn't as dry.
My son has used the blue light for acne. It helps, but he's not been consistent at using it and that's the key.
Let us know how it works out for you. |

Thanks for the replies they're very helpful. Do you keep the device in each area for 1 minute? I wonder if you can keep it for 3 minutes in each "problem" area - as with acne for the blue light? Are there any success stories out there? |

I thought you could actually keep the device on each spot for 3 minutes with the red aswell. Im sure thats what I did, however I returned it after reading alot of reveiws and now have the AALS which I am yet to use, only because I have had family staying here. |

Hi Lynnn -
I just pulled out my Tanda instructions (I bought mine in July 09) and for the "Anti-Aging Treatment" it says "Pause for 60 seconds on the areas of your face that require a higher application of restorative light energy." This is for the red light.
However, the tanda<dot>com website says "Move the Tända device gently around the face for up to 18 minutes, pausing for up to 3 minutes over areas that require more attention (e.g. around eyes)."
So, it looks like the instructions have changed and 3 minutes is ok. I've been using it for 1 minute in each area, but I now may do longer now on a few spots. Maybe this will improve my results! |

There are some great tips in the skin care tools section on using LED and green tea treatments - which really work for me.
3 mins is the dose of light that Tanda suggests for good results.

I would suggest you start here:

It features Kassy's recipe which I use and it works, as you would expect from Kassy.

Thanks very much Philip - I did check out the recipe. Do you know how long that is suppose to last and where one could find AHA, etc. I have various creams which contain some of the ingredients - I read that someone was using matcha green tea powder and aloe - which seemed a bit easier. |

I would go back to the green tea topic and ask Kassy - I am more gadgets/device protocols - you need to check with the expert. I bought most of my base ingredients on the web but it was a while ago.
