My mom itches all winter long. What do y'all recommend as healing, soothing body cream/lotion? |

What about Palmers body cream with alittle of an oil mixed in such as avocado, emu, rosehip ect. This is definitely an affordable mix for anyone and I think it works really, really well. Palmers is a great staple imo.

What's the word on Glycerin?... I've used that straight from the bottle... without anything else... But not really sure if there are issues with that product.
That said I put a lotion on one of my little ones last night that was touted for eczema... and the poor little guy woke up in hives a few hours later... STUNNING! I was able to wash him, and the welts were gone within 2 hours... but he went through a terrible itch fest...
Seems like the fewer, yet moisturizing and healing ingredients the better... I like the idea of mixing oils to a preferred constancy texture... Could you blend that with a Shea butter?? (would that even be advisable?) I bet our DIY'ers will have some great input here!I've often mixed body oil with body lotion to get really nice combos... Just don't know what to recommend for this... but would LOVE recommendations as well.
Oh... and finally, I actually use Boudreaux's Butt Paste on his few small patches... and that often helps clear things up... and soothes... But it's not a PRETTY lotion... So, I wouldn't want it on a bunch of exposed areas while out on the town... |
