does anyone know how to make it? I know it has something to do with a sugar cookie as the crust. I just remember someone talking about it once and i sounded SO good! |

someone brought fruit pizza to a work party we just had for christmas. What she put on hers was cream cheese mixed with whipped cream and a bunch of fruit like kiwi, strawberry, and pineapples. I have heard of people using jelly instead of the cream cheese also. I think it is just what your preference is. Are you making it for a certain occasion? I would say the cream cheese filling is the best. And yes, it is a sugar cookie crust. |

I've never made this but I've eaten it plenty...YUM! Not sure about the recipe so I did what I always do when I'm cooking and have no clue; I called my mom. She said sugar cookie OR peanut butter crust, cream cheese mixed with Marshmallow Fluff, various fruit on top and if you want it shiny you can melt some apple jelly and brush it on the fruit. Don't forget to put a bit of lemon juice on apples and bananas so they won't turn brown! |

My MIL makes it and it is so awesome. She is out of town or I would get the recipe from her.
Best as I can remember, she used a cookie dough type crust, covered it with cream cheese and then a thin layer of peach or orange marmalade. Then she added thin slices of bananas, strawberries, kiwis.
It was so good! |

mmm you are all making me so hungry. Reminds me of a dessert pizza I had as a kid once at Pizza Hut I think? It was covered with cinnamon and icing, probably very unhealthy! Would love to try to make a yummy fruit pizza, maybe with a graham cracker crust. |

Strawberries (or raspberries) with balsamic vinegar and basil and a soft cheese (mozz, or a mild soft goat cheese)is a win win no fail combination!
It's a great combination of tangyness (the acidic vinegar) with protein (cheese), and a bit of sweet (the berries). Fresh basil tops off the perfection

Not a huge fan of balsamic and fruit yet...and I've tried many many times
But I recently picked up some rasberry "vinegar cream" from an italian store and made some pached pears, topped with some "wine must sugar salt" seasoning that some fancy food store sells.
For the fruit pizza, I know pizza hut has one with canned apple topping.
I have heard of sugar cookie crust topped with custard of sweetened cream cheese, then sliced fruits, berries, banana and apple never work well as they never travel well.
top with a glaze or abricot jam and maybe sprinkle with sugar crystals for deoration?
graham cracker crust sounds good but might fall apart easier.
to cheat u can always use those rolls of cookie dough from the store, and maybe some caramel for the "sauce part"
I also think a vanilla or chcolate mousse would be good as the base, you can usually get mousse mixes at the store.
or if u want a good mousse rcipe the one on the bag of Dolfin chocolate flakes is amazing
I usually make up a lot of my own recipies as I used to work in a restaurant for 6 months making desserts and as a perp cook making sauces. |
