hi there,
I'm a newbie here. Any advise on making Pores smaller and remove Freckles would be great!
My freckles are worse on my left cheek, and the pores on my Nose is the size of Godzillass... =( **sigh****
I just bought BHA, but I'm not sure on know how to use it. If anyone can give me any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and happy Holidays |

No one is born with freckles. They are the result of too much UVA exposure. I would suggest that you start making sure that you cover up when out doors. But, also remember that when riding in a car or setting next to a window you still will get hit with UVA rays. |

Actually there are two types of freckles - ephiledes which tend to be genetic (in red heads for example) and appear with minimal UV exposure due to the melanocytes (cells producing melanin) not working as they do in people without freckles. Children as young as age 1 and 2 can get these even if covered up and kept out of the sun; these tend to become less with age. A redhead friend of mine was very freckly as a child but now in her late 50's is practically freckle free. Same with me, I have far fewer freckles than I did as a child (I am also a redhead). Ephiledes also tend to fade in winter.
Then there is lentigines, these are caused by UV damage and will only become more numerous and darker with age. Lentigines do not fade in winter, tend to be darker and have more of an irregular border than ephiledes too.
Depending on what type of freckles you have will depend on how easily they will fade. But high photostable SPF every day (even when it's overcast!) will prevent more appearing to some extentand in the case of ehphileds will help fade them.
