Howdy everyone. I'm new to the forum and have decided that my skin needs more love. I cleanse, moisturize, and sunscreen but that just doesn't seem to be enough. I'm 27 with fair skin (I got the Irish, Scottish, Welsh, British skin from my mom), it gets oily mostly around my nose and sometimes the chin and forehead. What is driving me bonkers of late is that I've started to get lines on my forehead and the little crows feet at the corners of my eyes and some under eye darkness. While I know that some things are inevitable I find it unacceptable!
With that said, I'm looking to implement a morning and evening regimen of skin care. From cleansers to moisturizers to whatever snazzy little tricks you guys have up your sleeves I'm willing to listen! |

Hi Irishgurl, Welcome.
I like to introduce a skincare routine one product at a time. That way you are able to see if each product you are introducing agrees with you.
First of all, almost all routines should include a sunscreen. It's good that you are using one.
Consider adding in a Retin A in the evenings. This will address fine lines. There are a number of threads you can read on Retin A. Do a search for retin a and read through a few of the threads. It is recommended that you start off with the weakest strength (you can go through a derm for this if you wish), every other, or every third night, and gradually work your way up.
Next, you may wish to add an eye cream with hyloxyl (sp) for the dark circles. For this I used a serum Isomers One 3000, but you may wish to do a separate search for dark circles to get additional recommendations for an eye cream/ eye treatment.
As you progress, you will wish to add more products to your routine. Good luck |

welcome irishgurl4!
i'm sure you're loving EDS. its fab!
you're 27? and a little wrinkling on the forehead and eyes. you're still young. i would honestly recommend good moisturizers. i think clean and simple. i'm not an expert and i don't know the details of your skin...
but this forum is overloaded with information. homemade DIY using natural oils, DIY facial massage, feedback on effect eye creams, etc.
i personally am doing the DIY facial massage and have found improvements in my wrinkles and overall skin health. there's so much on this forum. happy reading! i know you'll find something that will work for you.
btw, in my honest opinion, i wouldn't use the harsher acids/actives on my face till you get older. perhaps start with basic skincare, then if it doesn't work, you can go for the stronger stuff. caution, there are some crazy harsh chemicals that are available but sometimes they back fire. read carefully and do thorough reseach. you have young skin and have all the choices!
