I'm looking to switch to a new face wash. I have been using the Clearasil Daily Face Wash but after reading some of the posts on here and looking at the ingredients on the bottle it makes me want to find something that is a little less harsh on my skin. Reflecting on my use I do realize that it does dry my skin out after using it and I crave my moisturizer once I've dried my face.
I read through many posts recommending cleansing milks and whatnot but I'm a newbie to all of this and I have no idea what would be best for me. I believe I have combination skin that isn't too sensitive. I don't need something that removes makeup, I use Ponds cold cream for that, just something to gently cleanse my face. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! |

I really like any of Thalgo, Decleor, and Jurlique cream/milk cleansers. |

I use OSEA Ocean cleanser. It does not dry out my skin. There is also a milk version of this, both on EDS. |

Seba is quite gentle, but it is a cleansing bar,if you want to try some milky one,Avene or Cetaphil could be a choice |

i use and love all the valmont cleanser which are mild and gentle on your skin. they're so lovely to use. i recommend the white falls or the dermo for a gentle cream liquid cleanser; the magic falls is an oil cleanser that washes of clean, and can be used as a slick agent for cleansing-facial-massages. the toner, vital falls is alcohol based and i don't recommend it. it finish off my cleansing routine with a splash and wipe off with water falls. i really do love them so!
for cheaper alternatives, which i also use are the prevonia rose ligne cleanser&toner (for rosacea), gatineau, orlane B21 line, and another fav and gentle one is the sothys'. sothy's is amazingly gentle. i love using smelly gentle stuff on my face... so refreshing and lovely!
i hope you find something you really love! |

I used to love cetaphil but then their recent stuff feels heavy and greasy not like before, but I'm loving a cleanser from NCNProSkincare, its the Rhassoul cleansing bar. I've got very dry skin, and wasn't cleansing regularly but this bar changed all that for sure. It smells nice, and removes makeup easily! |

Why not use an Obagi gentle facial cleanser for the face. It is with aloevera and mild on the skin. Keeps skin soft and not drying...

My ABSOLUTE ALL TIME FAVOURITE is Lancome Clarifiance Gel. It doens't foam up so much but cleanses so well and not drying.
Second favourite in a gel form is probably Yonka Cleansing Gel.
Nivea visage cleansing gel is an economical alternative to the above.
Cleansing lotion is great but takes a bit of getting used to, if you are new to it.
Try Gernetic Lysi and Seri. The cleanser must be wiped off first with tissue, or you are just moving dirt/ makeup/ oil around! The toner is amazing, black stuff comes off my neck in the cotton pad even after a shower! They are relatively inexpensive for the 100% French quality. |

A great gentle cleanser that I use is Phisoderm. I had used Cetaphyl in the past but didn't care much for the watery consistancy...I switched to Phisoderm, which cleans great and is very gentle on my dry skin. Also, the consistancy is much thicker which I prefer... |

Something Ph balanced without sodium Lauryl sulfate or a similar detergent - I recommend Earth Science cleanser (very inexpensive on iherb.com). I love DiannaYvonnes Rose Hip Cleanser - all-time fav but a little more money.
I use a combo of castor oil and jojoba 60/40 at night and then massage. Very relaxing and feels good on the skin. |
