I've seen a thread or post somewhere about adding oil and something else to your shampoo bottle. i feel that no matter what shampoo i use, it makes my hair feel very heavy and think like hay. i HAVE to use conditioner afterwards.
i cant find the post, anyone know? |

Argan oil is good. It is healthy for the hair. I got mine from Makeup Artist's Choice. |

I would add oils to the conditoner, not shampoo.
Some people also add honey to the conditoner (MUA). ACV can be added to the shampoo; although I prefer to do a rinse with it after shampoo. |

Hi ellet,
I am not sure if this is the recipe you are looking for but Kelilu recently posted this and it is great by the way.

Having read about all the benefits of Castile Soap I decided to have a go at a DIY shampoo.
This is the recipe I used:
Moisturizing Shampoo for Dry or Damaged Hair
1/4 cup/60 ml Liquid Castile Soap
1/4 cup/60 ml Aloe Vera Gel
1 tsp Glycerin
1/4 tsp light vegetable oil eg. Macadamia/Jojoba/Avocado
2 tsp SKB 10%
10 drops Peppermint Oil
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients until well combined. Store in an airtight container at room temperature, and shake before every use. Apply liberally to wet hair and let sit a few minutes before rinsing well with cool water.
It lathered up quite well, but the solution is a bit runny. Please feel free to contribute any other recommendations

I've put SKB (sea kelp biofirment) in both shampoo and conditioner. Also you can add Honey - a little bit and an even smaller bit of ACV |

I use it in both. I tend to think that shampoos also have oils in them as well. |

Absolutely agree most shampoos contain oils. |

I added Aloe Vera gel powder to mine, about a level teaspoon to a bottle and it was lovely. |

If adding SKB to shampoo, does anyone know what the recommended dosage is? Thanks |
