I purchased this a month ago & I wanted to love it- I really really wanted to love this product Brick wall
However, I am bitterly disappointed. I curl my lashes and this makes them straight again, it leaves my lashes clumpy and my whole eye area then feels dry as my lashes get stuck together.

I have tried so many mascaras and always go back to max factor 2000 calories.

Don't waste your money on this.

you can try the mascara of Benefit. It can curl your eye lash.

I tried both Lancome Hypnose (a while ago) and Definicils (most recent) and was disappointed in both - easily clumped and thickened in the tube quickly.

Right now I'm loving Loreal's Telescopic Carbon Black. It has one of those plastic rubber brush applicators which keeps it from clumping; it does a decent job of lengthening and thickening in about 2 coats.

I totally agree with you...it was a complete waste of $$. Sad

I bought one mascara (the extreme lengthen one)from Lancome, which is the only mascara I bought. All others are samples from EL and Clinique GWP. However, the Lancome one makes me so disappointed. It makes my lashes clog to each other although it is really "lengthen" them.
Now, I am using one form Maxfactor, a gift from my classmate. I think it works really good: my lashes look natural but black and long. I love it. Because I am not a "makeup" person, I do not like big changes happening to my face.
BTW, the price for this one is much more affordable.

My personal all time best and favorite mascara is MAx factor 2000 calories. No matter what I try I always go back to it. I hope they never ever discontinue it Pray

So far my favorite mascara is L'oreal Original Voluminous.

However, the mascara that I'm dying to try is the 100% pure black tea one. As soon as I get myself to a Bath and Body Works flagship store I'm so buying it.

I've never been impressed with Lancome's mascara and Hypnose let me down.
I tried Shiseido Lasting Lift and love it. I really does keep those puppies up there and loooong! Great curl and lengthening power and excellent separation. Kinda hard to remove, but any good cleansing oil will help.

All I can say is I HATED the Hypnose!!! It was clumpy and lumpy, and made my lashes look like Tammy Fay Baker's (may she rest in peace)!!!

I had the exact same results with Hypnose as luvyourskin. Plus it was drying. I couldn't throw it out fast enough and didn't even save the spoolie.

Seno, have you tried and liked any of other Lancome mascaras? My sister swore by Extencils, but that's discontinued. I used the sample of Definicils before, and there's no Wow factor but it was decent. No clumping, and separates lashes ok. I prefer Max Factor mascara myself although I don't recall the name at the moment. I know it's not 2000 cal.

Have you tried Ebay? I got mine on there for about $6 shipping included.

I agree 100%. Everyone seems to love lancome, but I just can't get on board.

I will say though that I prefer the small GWP lancome mascaras to the big/real deal ones. Not sure if something is different about it. Question

I also want to add that I recently tried Smashbox Bionic and like it. It's a little wet, but I think it is overall a really nice look, and I didn't have problems with clumping.

For what it is worth.

I agree Smashbox Bionic is much better and doesn't have problems with clumping.

Another thumbs down for the Hypnose. Glad I got it as a gwp.

I am using Definicils right now, mostly because it's virtually smudge proof on me, and relatively clump-free. But I'm curious about the Maxfactor calorie 2000 and the Smashbox Bionix. Are they water resistant/smudgeproof?

Thanks,
montrealgal

I've been using Amplicils by Lancome for as long as I can remember. Recently, the company decided to discontinue it Confused
And apparently, Hypnose is not an option...

I am not impressed with Lancome mascaras. Loreal has better mascaras and cheaper as well. the Hypnose mascara does not volumnise nor does it lengthen. Will never buy again.

Well, we used to have Max Factor 2000 in Canada, but they stopped it a while back (maybe it's back in stores now, I have to check!), so had to search for alternative.

Lancome Definicils was a disappointment totally. In addition to thickening obnoxiously fast, it literally didn't make any difference on my lashes.

I finally found Dr. Hauschka mascara and am sticking with it. I don't even feel I am wearing it.
