Can anyone recommend a reputable derm. in Toronto? Someone that actually takes their time in explaining things to you and doesn't just look at your skin for 5 seconds and then prescribe meds. One that is knowledgeable in cosmetic procedures such as TCA peels would be great also.

Is she a certified dermatologist or just an aesthetician? |

I have some derm rec's. I find that most dermatologists in Toronto are pretty cold, ie not warm and fuzzy. If you want someone who is VERY CARING and sweet, I highly recommend that you see Dr Kucy Pon. She works out of women's college hospital. I also like Dr Paul Cohen, he has a website so you can google him. He is in Rosedale. He offers the latest in anti aging like fraxel and IPL in his office. I have also seen Dr Skotnicki-Grant at bay dermatology. She is a bit cold at times but once you get to know her she warms up. Same with Cohen. Dr Skotnicki-Grant is extremely intelligent and helpful. She is some sort of genious if you look at her resume, and she also was the only doctor that saved me money by prescribing me stuff so I didn't have to spend a fortune on using stuff that was ineffective for my rosacea. But I can't guarantee you will find her "warm". So its really up to you, you could try all 3 like I did. lol |

I got a referral from my family doctor to Merida Medical at Davisville. I saw Dr. Carroll and she seemed nice enough. I only went to get some moles checked out, but I think when I'm ready to take the plunge I'd go there for some actual dermatological items. |

thanks guys for all the feedback.
i'm in toronto, and i was just talking to my brother today about dermatologists. now that we're getting older, we have noticed more older skin issues, such as moles and skin tags.
its always helpful to have recommendations for good dermatologists, dentist, dr's, etc. |
