Is there a foundation which you can wear to sleep but wont clog your pores? Im asking because sometimes I want to hang over at my friend's house and it's too much trouble to remove the makeup.

Some mineral makeups advertise that they are pure enough to sleep in.

But IMHO this is something you should never do. Always cleanse your face before bed. Even if you're staying over at a friends place, how simple is it to just wash your face?

Have you tried RareMinerals by Bare Escentuals? It is made for nighttime renewal & comes in various shades. I think you can also wear it as a Daytime Foundation for those nights you think you may not make it home. Angel

Always go to bed with a clean face.

If you are too insecure to have your boyfriend see you without makeup, don't spend the night. Then perhaps start a skincare regimen to improve your skin so you don't need to wear foundation.

Wear foundation to sleep is not a good idea.

I agree with the above, whilst you can sleep in some mineral makeups, I think the best thing is to let your skin properly breathe at night Smile

Why don't you invest in some decent skin wipes? They shouldn't take the place of proper cleansing but something like MD Skincare's 'EZ4U wipes' would be quick way to remove your makeup. They're also individually wrapped for freshness - perfect for occasional use Cool

Its probably more trouble not to remove it, after all night is when your skin should breath and even with mineral make up on, that makes the skin's job a lot harder than it needs to be. Besides, if its a good friend, they'll understand and should support you in your efforts to maintain and keep healthy skin.

I would highly recommend never to sleep with any makeup on. That's when your skin renews itself and has the chance to breathe. I used to finish work late at night and remember my mom telling me that I would age 5 years if I forget to take my makeup off before sleeping. No matter how tired I was I always did - didn't want to take that chance!

Also, you look way fresher in the morning when you have removed your make-up and put on a nice night cream

My girlfriend with pretty flawless skin wears Bare Minerals to bed. Personally I notice a bad breakout every time I wear my makeup to bed.
The time when we might want to crash without removing our foundation is also the time when toxins are being sweated out through the skin (well for me at least... on occasion). One nice solution would be to keep a bottle of Sensibio and some cotton around (say a bedside table) so you can reach over in a moment of laziness and viola, clean and lovely!

I never tried it and I am not advocating it but Lamas Beauty used to make a tinted night treatment that was supposed to not only be good for the skin but also make your skin even toned and "made up" looking.
I wonder about the minerals obstructing the skin
from breathing any more than all the night creams out there?

ETA They still make it:

Night Radiance Serum

Overnight Treatment Tint

Now Paraben Free

As the years pass, even the best cared for skin gets thinner and more vulnerable. Lines and wrinkles form as the body's ability to produce collagen and elastin slows down. Skin becomes dull, dry and lifeless as cellular turnover and skin's ability to retain moisture diminishes. Pigment changes, like age spots often appear along with the effects of cumulative sun damage (photo-aging).

I have the Rare Minerals night treatement and love it but some find it drying, since I
LOVE Aromaliegh for not only their fantastic products but it's a woman owned and operated company dealing with many altruistic ideals as well, that's where I will purchase when the Rare Minerals are gone!
I have used a mineral treatment at night for a long time and my skin thinks it's a great idea! Smile

Some mineral makeups will do very little harm to your skin if you do not remove them. But this is not a good habit. You want your skin better, you should not be lazy.

Rare Minerals, Aromaliegh Night Treatment and Lamas Night Product are all tinted natural products specifically made to sleep in, and are made to help your skin while sleeping.
