Hi all,
i will be getting married soon and am looking for a foundation that will show up nicely in pictures, give good coverage and last all day. i do have relatively healthy skin but understand that to look good in pictures, the foundation needs to be thicker. i normally wear mineral makeup but from experience, know it won't be good for photos as it tends to wash me out.
i have been reading reviews and am leaning towards trying shiseido and shu uemura but am open to other suggestions. i know next to nothing about non mineral foundation. any help would be appreciated, thank you! |

hi,
i believe mac is known for their photography and show make up. i would suggest talking it over and testing products with your make up artist. HTH |

^Having a consultation with a MUA is a good idea.
In general, avoid foundations with titanium dioxide for photos, since it shows up white. |

i read about makeup forever, and of course, MAC is always recommended. during my two trial runs with my makeup artist, she used smash box the first time and revlon color stay (?) the second, and surprising the revlon looked great. i am not really a fan of drugstore foundation, so i am skipping on the revlon for the actual wedding.
i will be hitting one of our bigger malls here which includes sephora today and will hopefully find something. thanks for the suggestions! |

For my wedding, the MUA used MAC Mineralised Satin Finish Foundation and it looked really good in the photos. I had a touch of shine but that was because A. I forgot to blot before the pics (it was a busy evening!) and B. Where we took the pics was the hottest place in the buliding - but it had a beautiful red wall with gold circles and the photographer gushed over what a good background it was.
I'm using MUFE HD foundation on a day-to-day basis and its pretty good so far - I haven't taken any pictures yet but its supposed to be made to make you look flawless in them. |
