Okay, first I want to say that I've been getting good results with the Walgreens Lip Enhancer (lip fusion immitation) that Carekate recommended. When I first bought it, I hated the consistancy of it and was confused about whether it provided long term effects. I figured it was an instant gratification plumper and to only use it when I was going out. Well about a week and a half ago I figured I hated wearing it as a gloss, so I wouldn't be wasting it if I started wearing it to bed everynight. It really has made a difference for my lips. I'm getting good results with the upper lip plumping more than the bottom lip, and its definitely not in my imagination. I've been curious about City Lips because of Wendy's before and afters. I looked into it some more this morning and found it's breakthrough ingredient is Celadrol which the City Lips website has this to say about it:
"We use a patented ingredient Celadrol™ that works to help hold on to this built up collagen. Normally your body would absorb this increased collagen, but Celadrol™ acts as a protective barrier around collagen so it is built up faster and you will see results more quickly."
So then I googled Celadrol and found some odd info about its TM and how it might not have the TM anymore or something like that. I found that it is also marketed as a pain relief cream. The Celadrol official website is down today, but I'm hoping to get a look at it tomorrow. There's a product out there called Celedrin which from what I'm seeing is THE SAME THING as celedrol. You can even buy a tub of it vitcost for a couple bucks. http://www.vitacost.com/NSICeladrinTopicalAnalgesicPainCream
Now I'm thinking I could buy a tub of this, apply it to my lips along with the lip enhancer.. Hopefully someone who's a bit more knowledgeable in this subject could tell me if I'm right about this Celedrol/Celedrin conspiracy... |

I reckon this is worth looking into.
The inactivity on the City Cosmetics site is a bit worrying.I'd been emailing them to see where I could buy City Lips in the UK but never got a response. Then I discovered that they shipped to the UK from an online form on their website. But when I submitted my credit card info I kept getting an address error saying it didn't go through. I tried variations on my address, then gave up and phoned my credit card company to see why the adddress wasn't going through. To my surprise the transactions did show on my account 8 times! Now I have to wait 7 days to see if City Cosmetics is honest and cancels them. Otherwise I will have to fill out complaint forms to get $560 refunded! The fact that their site has a shopping error and that they are not answering their emails and list no phone number all adds up to make me concerned over the stability of the company and whether they are going to stay in business.
We've gotta find a way to DIY the product in case they go out of business!
And groan... I hope they cancel at least 7 of my 8 orders! I would hate to have deal with a big headache in getting those charges refunded. |
