Hi
Ive recently trained in decleor and i know my clients will ask me alot of questions about the range so i was hoping you guys could ask me some questions to help me study!
At least on a forum you can check your textbooks - it doesnt look so good if you have to do that during a treatment!
So please ask away and i will do my best to answer any questions you might have.
Thank you |

an australian dermatology site wrote this about decleor :
Decleor is not recommended — subclinical irritation from the basic skincare is common and products to prevent and treat photoaging are barely of any use in theory, let alone practice.
The product collection is massive and replete with duplication and general redundancy.
Although touted as being the most natural skincare, Decleor products are generally heavily preserved and adulterated by fragrance and colouring.
Decleor appears to derive much of its purported benefit from its aromatic hydrocarbons.
Unsurprisingly, Decleor skin care users are instructed to breathe deeply, however scent does not correlate with direct, positive effects on the skin any more than chiral or oxygen skin care provide benefit.
Aromatherapy is of primarily psychological benefit — skin benefits, if any and parasympathetically-derived, are not sustainable.
Products released since the sale of the Decleor trademark to Japanese Shisheido appear to have even less therapeutic potential than older products.
Although similar to Darphin, the volatile and aromatic component of the skincare is greater and more readily released, and Decleor omits concentrated use of the few botanical extracts which appear to have the greatest potential.
Ultimately, Decleor appears to be a toy of beauty therapy and a skin-challenging implementation of aromatherapy.
Heavy users of Decleor skin care typically delude themselves about the benefits of their skin care, yet none have uncharacteristically firm and elastic skins.
The likelihood that any heavily, financially or ideologically invested user of Decleor skin care will avoid skin care failure to any meaningful extent is practically nil.

Yes I have a question! I used to use and love the Men's Keep Control SOS Anti-Shine Gel. I found it hides pores. The product is now discontinued. Which other decleor product would be the closest substitute for this? |

Hi
Thanks for asking!
I have had a wee think and check with the books and this is what i have came up with:
I would recommend the cleansing gel and matifying toner. These are for oily/combination skin.
The cleansing gel contains ylang ylang, tea tree, witch hazel and mint and gives a deep cleanse, prevents the appearance of small blemishes, decongests, tightens pores and results in a skin which is free of impurites and excess sebum.
The matifying toner contains the same as above and so has the same properties. It has a matifying effect and contains cinnamon and burnet which are both astringent.
For your aromessence and balm i would recommend neroli aromessence and essential balm.
Neroli aromessence hydrates, brightens, decongests and rebalances. It contains petitgrain which is decongesting, neroli which is calming and prevents inflamation, sandalwood which helps reduce excess liquids, juniper berry which tones and parsley seed which brightens the complexion.
The essential balm helps with black heads and can be used on spots to speed up the process. It contains basil which is purifying and healing, chamomile which is a decongestant and prevents inflammation and neroli.
For a moisturiser I would recommend Harmonie delicate soothing emulsion. The decleor website states it recommends this for rosacea although it also states that they treat skin types and not conditions. The harmonie range is for sensitive, fragile and reactive skins. The emulsion as opposed to the cream is recommended for oily skin. Among other ingredients it contains blackcurrant seed oil which helps to calm redness and strengthen capillary walls thus preventing burst blood vessels.
I would also recommend the phytopeal exfoliant and the herb and clay mask which should be used twice a week. You can also dab some of the mask onto oily areas concerned with blocked pores and leave it on overnight to help draw out the impurities.
If you are concerned about mature skin then you would want to consider the d l'age ranges. Expression d l'age is recommended for ages 30-40, experience d l'age = 40-50, excellence d l'age = 50+.
Please let me know if this helped!

i dont know what they are up to! they have changed the name of a few products (phytopeal = exfoliating cream, purete exfoliant = micro smoothing cream) but i have no idea what has happened to soin and alpha. i have my decleor body course starting on monday so i will ask then and also find out when the new packaging will be introduced to the uk.

The mens range does not seem to have replaced this product with another. it is still possible to buy it from other reputable sites, just not this one or decleor direct.
as an alternative i would recommend the aroma purete matt silk finish as it does not make your skin oily or greasy but this is a moisturiser and not an sos product.

Yes, acctually I do!
I am a decleor lover, I've used the day cream for many many years, Hydra Floral.
I have sensitive skin, fair and thin.
I get oily during the day, work by a computer all day long, but I think my skin are dry anyway. I got som small small spiderveins on my cheaks, and I got enlarges pores on my nose. Uneaven pigmenttation in the hole face. Not so much wrinkels...yet.. Dark circles under my eyes.
Im 35.
Any suggestions?
I use the Hydra day cream every day, and I use the facewater fore sensitive skin, eyes and face. Some periods I've used the oils, but now so much since I thought the oils would make my face more greasy, oily. This forums helps a lot.
i just started to use some different brand, and to become friends with Retinol A nighttime + a HA serum on top, and Vitamin C serum during the day. Use the Eye solution under my eyes since one week. As i sun protection and makeup base, I use the Bare Essentials Mineral Make-up.
And the Dr H cleansing cream, just started this that to, and the rejuvenating mask. |

No, what do you mean?
Good or bad?
Although I saw today, that the Illuminating serum that I use by MD formulations, contains both AHA,and retinol..?
Or am I lost in translation here...
Does retinol and a HA Hyalonic acid serum work together..? |

Haha.
I shouldn't write a small "a" in front of HA, without the full name on the product.
Yes, I know that now, don't mix the retinol and AHA. But as I say in another thread, I bought just a product with three kinds of "nono" ingredients. Look at my "Vit-A-Plus Illuminating" tread.
I'm confused..
Never heard of Planters HA anti age cream. I don't quite like the one I'm using now, Pure Skin Ha serum, don't feel good on the skin, and I cant feel any difference in skinsoftnes, after two week of use, nighttime only. Can be affected by the fact that I use the Vita-A-Serum, underneath... |

Hiya
The photopeal is an exfoliant - but with a difference. The main ingrediant is green clay and there are no microparticles as in most exfoliants.
The green clay attaches to the dead skin cells and when you wipe/rub it off the dead skin cells come with it.
It can be used on all skin types. I use it twice a week and then apply a facemask after. I find it really brightens the complexion.
