i was suggested Eucerin Skin Calming Body Wash. Then I read one of the ingredients. Propyl Gallate. This is the last ingredient mentioned http://www.eucerinus.com/products/calm/eucerin-skin-calming-dry-skin-body-wash.html
10 Things to Know About Propyl Gallate
1. Propyl Gallate is an artificial food additive, that is also used in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
2. It is a whitish crystalline powder.
3. You may find propyl gallate in meat products, microwaveable popcorn, soup mixes, chewing gum, mayonnaise, and frozen meals.
4. It has antioxidant properties, which means it helps stop oxygen molecules from mixing with the oil in food, causing the food to go rancid.
5. Propyl gallate is also denoted E310.
6. Some studies on rats have shown that propyl gallate may cause cancer.
7. Other side effect of consumption are stomach and skin irritability, as well as allergic reactions that impact breathing. It may also cause kidney and liver problems.
9. In some cases, to improve its efficacy, propyl gallate is used in conjunction with 2 other preservatives – BHA and BHT – which are also suspect as carcinogenic.
10. Although the FDA considers propyl gallate safe, in other countries it is either banned or very limited in use. |

I seriously don't have the money to buy anything and everything. I bought Eucerin but gonna throw that in the trash now without using it. Anyways I've decided to go with St Ives and that's the end of it all:

Hi, I would ask in any case how often do you use a body cleanser and how often do you body scrub? If you use a body cleanser every day it should be very, very mild, with natural ingredients and if you use a body scrub every day it should be even milder... I see you've made a huge point about the ingredient "Propyl Gallate" therefore more important it should be that the ingredients are non harming if your intention is of using a "body cleanser" on a daily basis!
I mean, maybe better ask for a good daily body cleanser, or weekly, or a daily or weekly scrub? The question proposed is kind of very open to all sorts of answers and interpretations.
I personally only use a body cleanser -what I know as a shower or bath gel- on a daily basis on certain parts that may sweat, not all over my body -pop into shower but only lather up certain areas, basically armpits and feet, the rest I usually water clean thoroughly. Only do all over my body with body cleanser about once a week depending on the season -summer, or if I've exercised more than usual.
And then the actual scrub I actually do twice a week on my legs BUT because I use my homemade salt and oil mix to get rid of dry skin and at the same time moisturise the skin with the oil. I used two tubs of "Obey Your Body" scrub, with the scent of Ocean, which I absolutely looooved, so got on to trying out a homemade mix of sea salt and almond oil with different essentil oils, which is cheap and good, and managed to get the same effect.
So, long story short, practically no soap and homemade body scrub of sea salt and oil.  |

I got warned off the scrub by a few derms and ignored their advice and went and used it after a friend was talking about it and lived to regret it. The particles in the scrub are very rough and as a result can cause little scratches and tears to the skin which can lead to infections etc if not treated carefully. Many skin care experts actually warn clients away from the scrub - their other stuff is good but the scrub is a little harsh for most women (myself included) but that's just my personal opinion here!

| Okay people are probably going to moan when I mention this but I have dry skin and one of the best things I have ever learned to do for my skin is dry brushing because it in essence exfoliates and increases the circulation. I do it before my morning shower or at the weekends before my bath and it always leaves my skin feeling great and smooth and I love the feeling afterwards. It really gets me up and about and is worth doing. Carole Maggio’s No Lipo Lipo treatment is one of my favourite systems to use and her gloves and backstrap are awesome for this purpose! |

Sounds great. I just ordered some grapeseed oil and I think I'll use it the same way. |

I quite like the St Ives, the smell is fruity and it doesn't linger. Which is very important because I don't want the smell to stay with me once I'm out the shower. I believe that's what perfumes are for. There's a massive difference I feel with using a body scrub such as St Ives with my 100% Nylon exfoliating gloves vs a normal body wash shower gel with 100% Nylon exfoliating gloves. The gloves are harsher than Salux so although I haven't used the Salux yet, I don't think it will smoothen out skin as much as gloves with or without a body scrub. The Salux is 60% Polyester and 40% Nylon (regular). A body scrub with a Salux or exfoliating gloves gives a deeper level of exfoliation=softer skin. But we are all different though so how I percieve soft and how u perceive soft is all a matter of opinion, also it could be a gender thing. |

| I know St Ives Body scrub says u shouldn't but I think u should dilute it with water and then it wouldn't be so harsh or abrasive on the skin |
