I've been reading fave reviews of CellularSkin Rx's Eye Bright Treatment Serum and I'm so tempted to try it! But apart from dark circles, I also have fine lines. Is it effective against fine lines? I'm also using Cellcosmet's Eye Cream (thank you Mabsy for your glowing recommendations!) and I'd like to continue using it since I paid a bomb for it. Can I use Eye Bright under the Eye Cream?
Also, between SkinCeuticals' Vit C serums and CellularSkin's C+ Firming, which is better? The price difference between the two is so dramatic, I'm wondering if SkinCeuticals is worth paying 3 if not 4 times as much. |

I have not tried Cellularskin products but I am very tempted!
They do offer sample sizes for a reasonable cost; so maybe that can be a way to try a couple of items without a huge investment. |

I prefer SC C serum personally as I didn't like the 'slip' that cellularskin gave. I don't see why you cant use eyebright under your eyecream, I do! (not that that is ANY recommendation ). It is very light and you would have to use additional moisture anyway unless your skin was very oily.

I've also used Eye Bright under my eye cream without any problems. Evelyn - I find the CellularSkinRx vit C serum a tad too oily ("slip" is probably a good way to put it actually as it's not really oily per se) and Skinceuticals makes my skin a bit taught if I don't put anything on straight away. For me Vivier is the best middle-ground, I've got normal to combo skin. I think this largely depends on your skin type and also on your preferences. |

Thanks for the tip Mabsy. Correct me if I'm wrong, Vit C serums are to be used only in the day, before sunscreen, is that right? Can I use Vit C under my eye before my Murad Essential C SPF 15 (another great recommendation, thanks!)? Or maybe that's a bit of an overdose of Vit C since the eye cream already contains Vit C.
And also, can you recommend me a serum I use at night before my night cream? I have the same skin type as you I believe - normal/combination. |

Evelyn - yes morning is best for vit C serums. I use a C serum around my eye area and under the Essential-C anyway. Just be careful that the C serum is not too strong around the eye area. I've got the Cellex-C one which is I think about 6.5% conc.
I'll get back to you on the night serum - I have recently tried Thalgo Elixir and saw a visible improvement in my skin (it glowed!). Was going to repurchase but then I saw the price I think that one might wait a while.... I've also got YonKa Serum which I use at night sometimes and Valmont Bio-cellular High Performance. Sothys Clearness Serum was also quite nice from what I remember. Most importantly, what is it that you want from your serum? |

What do I want from my serum? Well, I'm 31 now, and I'm starting to see very small light brown spots on my cheek area and very very fine lines on my forehead. So I'd like a serum that can undo the damages of the sun, halt or slow down the ageing process and give me youthful, radiant, glowing skin. Basically, I'm looking for a miracle serum!! |

Join the club love!
...seriously though, C serum and sunscreen are the way to go...combine with a moisturiser that suits your skin and you are away!
You could also start using an agiriline product like relax a line before those 'fine' line on your forehead look like something a tram has made! |

I think Argireline would be a good thing to start, although I'm not sure if you'd need to use it twice daily to get the benefit or not. I'm using it (ADCE) once daily most days though and hoping that in the long term it will do me some good.
In all honesty I think that based on what you said you wanted, you're already doing a pretty good job. I'm going to plug Jurlique Herbal Recovery Gel because I just bought a 30mL bottle today I actually find this not moisturising enough so I tend to use it as a serum or only in really hot weather (which, it would seem is not far away for us here ). While this gets very mixed reviews on MUA (some love it, some think it's useless), I actually quite like it in terms of making my skin healthy and glowy. It's expensive but worth it. Another thing that comes to mind is the Rooibos Serum from DianaYvonne. I found it too sticky for my liking but it's supposed to be a super antioxidant and I like the idea of that! On the plus side - you can buy 5mL samples of the serum on the DY site |

Mabsy, thanks for tips. I'm getting a free bottle of DeCleor's Aromessence Visage Neroli from my most recent order with EDS. Can I use it like a serum before my night moisturiser? Or should I use a separate serum?
Now my boyfriend's complaining that I put too much stuff on my face and he can't give me affectionate pecks or he'll swallow my creams!! The things I sacrifice for beauty's sake! |

Evelyn - that's how I have used it, except I used a Balm over the top - moisturiser is fine though.
at your boyfriend - but take comfort in the fact that many of us have the same problem! |
