last weekend on our roadtrip to markham for some fine fine dim sum, the girls all dropped into T&T to scope out the cheap finds. among the them were the Naive Cleansers in peach, pomegranate, and aloe. they are all facial cleansing foam products. the aloe promising me a gentle clean. i was right in there!
my girlfriend and i have been trying all 3 products. first i can say it is THICK. thick as in toothpaste. you only need an eraser size and have to mix it with water. it is so thick it will not spread alone!
wow, i thought at first ... what a great find. a little goes MILES. even mixed with water it is a thick creamy cleanser. it actually does not foam but slathers your face with creaminess. while washing it was quite nice... slather, massage, slather...
i rinsed with water and it came off easily with no residue. no residue at all... it took everything with it down the sink. yikes! it stripped my face bone dry. my face was soooo tight when i looked in the mirror, i looked like i was smiling.
so if you have any blackheads, sebum, or oily skin... this is for YOU!
you gotta love experimenting at home! |

if you're in toronto, there is a grocery store called T&T. some of the locations have a make-up mini store in the front. this mini store sells asian brand makeup/skincare.
also, inside the T&T, in the personal hygiene aisle, eg shampoo, soap, there are some skincare products from japan, korea, and china.
also, walmart, if you look closely in the makeup skincare aisle, there are korea face mask products. actually a huge selection of them.

If you're interested in the Japanese drugstore-level cleansers, you might also want to give Softymo and Kanebo brand ones a try. |

Japanese cleanser usually is very harsh, It can clean thoroughly, but it makes me feel very dry. |

Wow, you are brave to try everything
I used to use products like these when I was 16, and it was great, but I think our skin repays us when we pass the 30 yr mark

There's a variety of formulations. The foaming ones are about as harsh in stripping power as the anti-acne cleansers like Clean & Clear, Neutrogena, etc. But there are milky cleansers and oil cleansers as well, which are less drying. |

thanks 3rd. i just got this brand on a whim from T&T. the stuff is definitely concentrated. a little dab, the size of toothpaste, can thoroughly do your whole face and neck. wow! |

yup... it strips everything!
i have to stay away from it... it leaves the skin too dry and parched.
if you need it for blackheads, then it a good buy. it cheap and SUPER concentrated. you only need a pea-size amount, really.
hellen,
for blackheads you can try the OCM while cleansing... and also i find that the tanaka massage helps with this problem. |
