Any suggestions for the very best serum you have used, for wrinkles and dull skin. Commercial or homemade? |

For wrinkles, I really like Cellular Skin Rx's Relax-a-Line. It's a Botox alternative - less strength, obviously, since it's a topical and not injectable, but it definitely has made a difference for me.
For dull skin, I swear by good, regular weekly exfoliation and an excellent moisturiser. My results with using Nia24 Intensive Recovery Complex have been great, even though it's a cream, rather than a serum. I also find that Karin Herzog's Essential Mask gives skin a lovely boost and glow. |

hi dreamskin,
welcome to EDS!
my favorite serum for wrinkles would be valmont's l'elixir precious. a wonderful serum for dull skin and repair would be valmont's dna repair. i find that the dna repair serum penetrates quickly into the skin and does not pill. its wonderful. it hydrates immediately and my skin looks glowing and radiant. this serum can be worn alone as it is so effective.

I like Karin Herzog's mask also - I tend to use this over a collagen mask from Cellbone. It plumps it up! |

i make a serum from straight organic rosehip oil (it can be diluted with a carrier oil like hazelnut, almond, etc.) and add carrot seed essential oil (EO), franincense EO, rosemary verbena EO(different from the rosemary usually added to hair products), a few drops of rose otto EO, a drop of sage EO.
i use this as my first 'layer' of serum Then i make another with straight organic tamanu oil (also can be diluted with a less 'thick' carrier oil and add heliochrysum eo to it..and put on top of massaged in rosehip and eo combinatin(theseare 'oily' serums..so need to be massaaged in well (currently i use the Tanaka massage)
the rule of thumb is to use 15 drops of eo's per 2oz. of carrier oil...but you can experiment with adding few drops more.
anyway, my skin is so smooth with this combo that even though i am interested in other diy ingredients..i figure why change what really works for me.....i also need to exfoliate so much less then before i started this formula...once every 2 weeks, maybe, for a good manual exfoliation...because these eo's are so regenerating. |

not sure if i was clear...it's 15 drops altogether of eo's per 2 oz's of carrier oil...not 15 drops of each eo. |

I have using Vivant Rejuv Rx serum and I am very impressed so far. My skin looks much more even and much brighter. I will post final review after 6 months of regular use...but so far this looks promising:

I really quite liked La Prairie's hydrating serum. I find that while other serums did make my skin glow, the glow seemed superficial and the products themselves tended to be too sticky or made my skin taut. This hydrator just plumped up my skin and felt soothing and pleasant. |

I have had the most overall difference in my skin from Kassy's DIY Vit c serum with jojoba oil. I'm preventing wrinkles so I can't say that it's made a difference softening wrinkles. As far as dull skin and splotchyness, 100% improvement. |

there is a lifting serum on perfectcomplexion.com that I will never be without. I'll try to post back with the link, because there is a day and night lift, but I use the night.
There is a technique where you put on basically 4 or 5 layers over a one hour time frame and then go to bed. The lifting I get is amazing. Even if I use one layer before bed it makes a big difference.
When I use it, I find myself feeling my face all day. It's pretty reasonable and there is a promotion for 2oz for the price of 1. |

Just a reminder to send us the link! I looked up this site but it was not for skincare. Thanks! |

Hi TAMgirl - here is the correct link for the Perfect Complextion Face Lifting Serum - http://perfectcomplexion.net (just do a search for "lifting serum" once you connect to the website). |

Thanks ScotsLass! I actually found it before you sent this and already ordered. I had tried the HA Soy Lift years ago and it was okay, but I'm really excited to try this new product. I got the lip stuff too since I have chronically dry lips and hate anything with wax in it. Sounded yummy! |

You're welcome, TAMgirl! Don't know how long it'll take before you receive your package, but once you do get it and try the serum out for a bit, PLEASE come back and report if you like it or not. It does sound really, really interesting and you can't beat the price right now. I didn't check out the lip product but will take a peak right now. I have chronically chapped lips too and have not had much success finding a product that heals the problem. So please comment on the lip stuff after you've trialed it out! Thanks!!!! |

Sorry to be so slow. Here is the link.

Also the Age Reversal Complex is amazing. The best thing to do is go on the Chatter Time forum and read and read. These aren't products that you apply day and night for the most part.
You can, and I do, but many are actually equivalent to a spa treatment.
I'm still learning to use them and get amazing results, but you can't beat the price points and she almost always up sizes things and sends samples.
But if nothing else, get that serum and do the 5 step night time process, it's amazing.
Also, I wasn't really impressed at first with the HA Soy lift, but I noticed as I used it on my eyelids everyday, over time it made a big difference. |
