This stuff is my current new fave hair product!! If you love the effect you get with Biosilk's Silk Therapy, but not the drying damage caused by the alcohol content, this stuff is for you -- even if your hair isn't course or unruly!! Just smooth a dime-size amount thru your palms and smooth it over your hair for a glass-like finish and shine. And it has a delicious, fresh-apples scent that is positively yummy (scent fades quickly once it's applied) and it's guilt-free because Paul Mitchell products are cruelty-free! A word of warning though, for those who don't like to use silicone products on their hair, this stuff does contain 'cones.
I think this stuff is marketed for those trying to wrestle/smooth their curly/wavy/frizzy hair into sleek/straight/sexy submission with a flat-iron, but the first time I was exposed to this product was by my ( beloved ) stylist as a finishing product on my super-short, wavy, Halle Berry-hairstyle to 'piece' it out and add shine, so I can't comment whether or not it truly does what it's meant to do. I have used this on both wet hair, as a "primer" or to help seal out/prevent frizz before it can start, and on dry hair as a 'glosser' after styling.
Also, I do know that many flat-iron devotees swear by the aforementioned Biosilk Silk Therapy as a combination smoother and thermal protector, and while I was also lulled into a false complacency by the amazing results of the Silk Therapy, I discovered -- to my utter horror and dismay -- that it's primary ingredient was alcohol and it was unbelievably drying and damaging to my hair. If it nearly wrecked my super-short do, which meant I could easily cut off and grow out the damaged areas, just imagine the heartbreak it could cause someone with shoulder-length or longer hair?! But if you check the label of the Super Skinny Serum, alcohol isn't anywhere on it!!
Bottom line: if you're looking for a great product to add a ton of shine, to prevent frizz and define natural curls, or to act as a thermal protectant before attacking your mane with the flat-iron, give this stuff a try! I don't use the matching shampoo/conditioner, so I only offer this tidbit as an FYI, but supposedly using all three products together is supposed to somehow reduce overall drying time for long/thick hair. Currently, salons that carry Paul Mitchell products are offering a trial kit with the Super Skinny Shampoo, matching conditioner and a tiny bottle of the serum for about $12.95USD.
Well, wait are you waiting for? Lemming says: go buy this!! |

I would have broke my shopping ban days ago if I thought I would acheive this. Funny about what pops into our heads first though. |

used it a few times and i find it does nothing for my hair except make it softer. no shine, no moisture, doesnt really handle fly aways well after drying. i dont notice it cuts down on drying time. seems to work better on dry hair than wet but still doesnt give much shine. |
