Hi everyone
I have been having ibs symptoms now for about 4 years and have tried numerous supplements and anti spasmodic tablets, along with dietry alterations and after doing some research and reading various forums I decided to try Lepicol in my local Holland and Barrett healthfood store.I was quite skeptical because I had taken fibre supplements before which made matters worse especially bloating and wind but to my surprise after taking them for three weeks now I have found I have had little lower abdominal pain and am "going" daily. The instructions say to take 2-8 per day, at the moment Im taking 5 per day with my main evening meal and I do feel less bloating and pain. They also contain probiotics which I have read can be good for IBs sufferers. The main ingredient is psyllium husk powder which is not absorbed by the body so it adds bulk to the stool which keeps everything moving smoothly through the large intestine. I wondered if anyone else had tried them. |

I have IBS (IBS-C) also and haven't tried that yet. I have found that Peppermint oils pills, magnesium and Super Primrose all help a LOT. |
