HI ladies...
I have a question.
My eyes are extremely light colored and mega sensitive . I have been using Lumiere eye cream with PSP for a couple days now and I can't tell if I am having a reaction to it or not.
Here's my dilemma....My face is already a bit swollen and a bit sensitive right now due to using Obagi , and while I'm not using the Obagi products around my eyes , they still seem puffier too ( even before starting the eye cream)
The eye cream stings a bit when I first apply it and my eyes water up , but then they stop stinging but still seem puffy and slightly irritated.
So do you think its the eye cream or the Obagi causing the irritation? Ive read how this cream is great for sensitive eyes , but maybe just not mine
Should I give it some time or stop it now?
How long do you give a product before you call it quits? |

Just a thought like so many products the things you are using in Obagi may well be migrating to your eye area while you sleep. Maybe try a 2-3 day without the new eye cream to see if that's the culprit or not? |

Tia, I had the same reaction with this eye cream, irritated and puffy eyes. I would trial it a bit longer though, maybe just use it a couple of days a week to see if you'll get used to it. |

If it stings its causing irritation and I'd skip it. |

Definitely stop using it. No sense to suffer through it. Your body has a way of telling you when something is not right. I'm even concerned reading that your face is swollen from obagi. I don't think I'd keep on using a product that swells up my face. |

Thanks all
I haven't found an eye cream yet that doesn't sting or irritate my eyes . I was hoping this may be the one. While it does feel better than most , I think I'm still reacting to it. but since I'm on Obagi I'm not sure what I am reacting to.
Darkmoon : I think maybe it may be the other products that have cause the irritation , my eyes just seem more sensitive than usual. I may stop the eye cream for a couple days and see if they are still irritated. The retin may be causing alot of it for me. My eyes are so sensitive that when my teenage son sprays his body spray two floors up ...my eyes start to water
brierrose: Have you found an eye cream you like ?
GirlieGirl: I think I will skip it , atleast for a couple nights as darkmoon suggested to see if its the cream causing it.
Natalyn : I don't think the Obagi caused the swelling ( this is the end of my third week) but the retin-A I am using with it. I used too much retin the night before and I woke up with the swelling ( which never happened before). I am thinking that was the cause.. The swelling went down and My face is back to normal (well normal for stage one Obagi ) but my eyes still feel irritated.
I guess maybe I will stop the eye cream for a while and see if the irritation stays. |

Tia, it just so happens I have!
Osmotics Eye Surgery under eye rejuvenator.
You wouldn't believe how many eye creams I've tried and how much money I've spent. Oh well, my daughter has inherited all my rejects.
The Osmotics eye cream hasn't caused any irritation whatsoever (actually makes my eyes feel good) and best of all it has worked beyond my expectation on getting rid of eye bags and puffiness. I've only been using it for two weeks now but so far I'm very pleased with this product and will continue to purchase it. |

Good to know there is hope I may have to look into that once I'm done with Obagi if the Lumiere turns out to be the irritant.... I think I will have to wait until I'm done Obagi before I add anything.
I didn't use the eye cream tonight and only used Obagi and my eyes are still a little puffed and irritated ( and I don't use the products around my eyes) I feel the retin may be doing it , even though I'm using a small amount and low dose to start , I'm not use to it yet.
Maybe its just the whole Obagi routine that takes a while for your whole face to adjust too. |
