Hi,
I don't know about anything to do to make your nose bigger, but I do know that your nose (as well as your ears) never stop growing, so as you get older your nose will fit your face better.

katee--that's mean.
as to the original question, i don't think there's anything you can do to make your nose bigger/higher, besides plastic surgery |

Kind of like this? ---> lol. Sorry ladies, I just couldn't hold back .
And about your nose and ears always growing, thats pretty interesting. However, it must be at a really slow pace though.
I have a pretty long nose. In fact, my SO teases me about it EVERY day, although he likes it . And while I do not think that there are excersizes out there to lengthen your nose, you can always (probably) create an illusion with the use of makeup. People make their noses look thinner, so why not longer, right?! Sorry I couldn't be more of a help though. |

All people who have a big nose want a small nose and vice versa..............just like people with curly hair wanting straight hair etc
If your that desperate then visit a plastic surgeon........i've never known a plastic surgeon making noses bigger - only smaller.......... |

The idea that your nose and your ears continue to grow in perpetuity is one of the most absurd declarations I have EVER heard
BUT, I have to admit that it made me think of beagle puppies. Their noses, ears, and feet are full size and they just kind of grow into them. There are few things more adorable than beagle puppies.....
Uhhhh is this off topic???? Really laughing.... NOT AT ALL. I just wanted y'all to catch a glimpse of my SENSITIVE side I wasn't being nasty when I answered deepthi. In fact, I was somewhat amazed to see others taking the question seriously. Deepthi posts frequently under different nicks - always with calamatous conditions and pleas for help. Too bad some peoples brains never stop (and in some cases, never seem to START) growing |

I think if there were actual exercizes for this, there wouldn't be nearly as many nose jobs!
Your nose is cartilage...the only way to make it smaller is to remove cartilage...that means surgery. The only way to make it bigger is to surgically add to it...you can't build cartilage in the way you can build or tone muscle. |

Hi katee - MelissaMarie is right about the nose thing. I have a Ripley's book that says our noses never stop growing throughout our lifetime. Yikes! I just hope that doesn't include my a** too! |

Use makeup! It's called shading, take a shade 3-4 lighter then your foundation and use that on your nose. This will make it appear wider and larger. |

The hilarious looking Facercise book from Carole Maggio is supposed to shorten and narrow the nose tip by exercising the depressor septi muscle. So I guess this doesn't help build a small nose but may help those worried about the continually growing nose which Carole mentions.
There is also a face slimmer exercise so maybe deepthi can try this as an alternative. Just started a couple exercises after reading interesting reviews about the book. |

Carole Maggio’s nose exercise helps to reshape the cartlidge, and I think is called Nose Shortener. I have never been able to find any actual evidence that this exercise does shorten the nose, but I do know that cartlidge can be manipulated by physical therapists so presume its possible.
I don’t know of any exercise that would lengthen the nose or make it higher either I am afraid. What you might be able to do though is build the muscles up surrounding the nose to de-emphasis it somewhat.
Ears and Nose are both made up of cartlidge so are supposed to continuing growing right up (and slightly after your death). Also your hair continues to grow for a little while when you pass over. Depressing subject but it is an interesting thought! |

Hi Deepthi,
have you thought about fillers ? I do know that the bridge can be built up using fillers like Restylane etc,
thanks

It is true though in some respects lol,
my mom very well read with her masters [not that it means that much] but she had told me this..now myself at 51 who had the up turned nose does not have that nose anymore its not showing mu nostrils, I don't mind it's fine, but noses droop the tip mainly esp. if ones nose is larger to begin with
I was a geriatric nurse nearly all my life and have seen more drooping ear lobes then one can imagine lmao
there is some truth our noses do grow, ok I'd say morph more then grow.
And I'd get surgery if mine was too short, to original poster it will make you very happy, just
make sure you find a dr. who does type of work a lot and it's his/her specialty
Good luck! |

I guess surgery is the only way to go. Unless you are a teenager, don't expect your nose will grow to the shape you like, at least not in a time you can wait.
If you plan to do the surgery, I think you should really consider if you need it. This is probably not an issue only for money. |

I think you should be happy with the way you look. Beauty is skin deep and you should learn to love your self. |

you are right saz07, I agree
However I feel if something is truly bothering someone like a short nose or lone nose [I have seen some and can imagine how she feels] we don't know 'how short ' her nose is, but it seems to bother her, if she were see a dr. and get a 2nd opinion as well I think surgery is the way to go.
If my nose was large I'd want it to be smaller.
I think many people myself included are
consumed with "beauty ideals" and it' sad - and with pressure from tv shows and a million magazines where we see [photoshopped] perfected ladies and men - it can make young and old feel inadequate.
I feel though even after saying this if a corrective procedure will one happy go for it.
Quality of life is important too. |
