Does anyone make seperate oil based serums and water based serums depending on the actives solubility rather than worrying about finding a good base cream or worrying about emulsifiers etc?
If so what is a typical base to use as an oil serum? I think most of the serums I've come across are all water based?
Thanks! |

Are you looking to add an oil soluble active into just oil? If so there are many choices depending on your skin type and needs. |

Yeah DUH! I guess I can just put them in straight oil.
Can you combine different oils or is it best just to stick with one.
GoW has a great resource listing the benefits of the different oils so I should be able to pick out some from there. Are there any to avoid that are highly pore clogging or anything like that?
Thanks! |

Sure you can blend different oils for benefits of each, I mix oils all the time. Just do your homework on what oils go rancid quickly and buy small amounts at a time and refrigerate. |

mrslid,
GoW actually has oil samples where you can choose three based on your skin type. I just recently bought some that way, because I wanted small quantities. When I buy larger quantities, I can never use them up before they go bad. |
