Just wondered if anyone has tried the Epidermx for their acne and scarring?

I purchased a sample from ebay after reading raves. I have tried it 3 times so far. Each time after I use epidermx, I breakout with tiny whiteheads
I may try it a few more times and see what happens. |

Hi guys...
I am interested in Microdermabrasion...does it matter which brand of product you go for or are they all just as good? Does EDS sell any? Has anyone heard anything about CrystalPeel or SuperSkin versions of Microdermabrasion?
Are there any negative after effects of using the product?
Thanks,
Niki |

I love the Epidermx. I've seen some improvement on my small acne scars and fine lines.
Brand is very important. I've used a few others, including the very expensive Prescriptive one, but so far I think Epidermx is giving me the best results. |

I got a tub about 2 months ago and I really like it. My skin feels soooo wonderful. You need to use it several times a week to get improvement in wrinkling and/or scarring though. Some people use it daily I heard.
The reason I got it over other other brands is that I like it is all natural without chemicals and the crystals are also natural. It washes off really easily too.
The only problem? The wonderful feeling of the smooth skin is ADDICTIVE so I think once you start using it you wont be able to ever quit. ![Laughing](images/smiles/lol.gif) |

this stuff sounds too good to be true! Does anyone know if it thins the skin or if dermabrasion products have any other side effects if used regularly? |

I don't think it thins the skin. It just sloughes off the top layer of dead skin cells which are not doing us anything. There're no side effects. But if you are using other chemical based products like glycolic acid peels, Retin-A/retinols, leave a few days gap in between. |

I have read so much about this one, I think I'm going to have to give it a go. The only thing is that when I have used other "at-home" microderma products, I got the little whiteheads/small topical pimples that were mentioned a few replies ago. So... m. Anyone else get little irritations like this? Maybe I will have to sample it first. |

I had no breakouts or any kind of irritation. It's a good idea to sample first. Email customer service to request a sample. |

I love Epidermx - now my whole family is using it! I bought mine atwww.beautifulnewskin.com.
Debbie is the seller I've used & is so very helpful - both with the instructions she includes with the package & with consistent followup emails.
Well worth the price of $44.95 - the jar seems like it will last at least 2mos. (if I can keep my family away from it!)
Good luck!

Wondering whether this product will be too harsh for me? I love to get rid of the dullness, but i'm scare it will futhur thinning my skin and make it sensitive. could anyone advice me on that?? Do you have a better way to give me a radiant complexion?? ![Wink](images/smiles/wink.gif) |

I have really delicate skin, but I have used it without any problems.
Trick is not to rub too hard and not to have your face too wet when you start - otherwise it takes too long for the "microdermabrasion" to begin.
After my first use, my face was red, but now that I am "experienced" in using it I dont have any trouble. I know what pressure to use, how much product works for me, and how much moisture I need.
I do my chin and nose daily, my cheeks, forehead, undereyes on alternate days |

thanks, tiger_tim for the infor, guess i need some courage to try it, worried that the clumsy me will do more harm then good.Other than redness, did you experience any side effect, like being more sensitive and prone to sun damage?

For me the redness is very short-lived. It happens only right after the treatment and is gone in 2 minutes. I've never experienced any side effects like irritation and increased sensitivity to the sun. My skin just feels so renewed, even toned and glowing. |

Like I said, my skin is really delicate (and very prone to flushing when it is hot), so all that stimulation got it going. I mean, my face is bright red even after a regular facial massage
Now I put on my Decleor and Sothys afterwards and it is fine. I did also get the camellia nut oil some sites sell and that is lovely, but does not take away the redness for me.
My skin is extremely pale, so I really avoid sun anyway and put a suncreeen on my face whenever I leave the apartment, so I could not really say if I am more sensitive than before.
Like earich said, it is the softness that is so wonderful. It is addictive. I have not been using it on my neck yet, simply so I can really "feel" the difference after a month or so.
My husband claims that the pores on my nose and chin are smaller ( I never knew he noticed them before!) and he also commented on how moist and clear my skin looks since I started using it.
I never had any serious wrinkling, scaring to deal with.. in my case it is just that I hate to wear foundation, so my goal is to have a beautiful complexion which lets me get away with that. However, I will be VERY happy if the smiling crows feet deminish after a few months.
I have had barely a zit since I started using it, but sometimes do get a small blemish that vanishes quickly (I heard that this is just part of the process).. and it is mid summer here in Japan and for me not to be breaking out all over the place from the polluted humidity is amazing.
AnneJo, the first time you use it, why not do your forearm? Mine are really badly sun damaged and just one use made me go WOW.. I went from rough and marked to baby smooth and marks much less noticable. It is a good location to get used to using it too.
Oh one other tip, whilst your skin needs to be wettish, make sure your fingers are dry when putting them into the pot. (oh and dont forget to put the lid on overnight like I did ) |

i started using Epidermix around 2 weeks ago, i have large pores, acne scars, blackheads, within 2 weeks my skin tone imporved and, the first time in years, i can go outside without foundation. I can't wait to see my skin to imporve further. |
