Hi all, I've read here on the forums that once a Vitamin C serum turns colour, it shouldn't be used anymore! I just ordered 5 samples from a supposed reputable ebay seller but they're all amber coloured already. I did read a few who said that Skinceuticals claims that it's still effective..
Should I toss it out..? What a waste! Can somebody educate me on the dangers of using it? |

I think it shouldn't be used.Because it has been Oxidation。 |

I used SkinCeuticals C + AHA for a few years (now use the CE Ferulic). The product should be clear to a very pale champagne color. If it is amber, the product has already oxidized (and I would put the age of the product of at least 3 months or older). My serums last a good 3 months of being mostly clear and start turning thereafter, but I usually go through a bottle every 2 months.
Personally, I would not use it if it is amber in color. |

I agree that I would not use it. Because its oxidized its a pro-oxidant.
You could contact the seller and let them know that your samples appear to be expired. They may offer a refund. It cant hurt to ask.
I've had good luck ordering samples from skinmedix.com, they also sell on ebay. |
