I've been reading a lot of inner beauty and skin care books lately and I found this really great book "Becoming Beauty"! It shows how to:
• Become your own brand by discovering your personal unique style.
• Make a powerful impression by discovering the secret language of color.
• Look like you stepped out of a magazine cover on your wedding day.
• 50 ways to beat acne for good.
• Disguise figure faults by choosing the right clothing for your body type.
• Strengthen your internal beauty and project a stronger more powerful image.
• Never have to ask “how do I look” ever again.
• Look 10 years younger with skin care recipes you can make in your own kitchen.
• Learn the right hair style and hair color for your personal face structure and never have a bad hair day again.
It's from the makers of Skinn cosmetics (which I am an avid buyer of)!
Hope this helps anyone interested! |

Do the skin care recipes seem easy to make? Also, have you tried any and how are they working for you? |

This book sounds interesting and really positive. I think it good that there seems to be more of a shift towards accepting who you are and working with it rather than trying to be something you are not. I read a book last year called "The Truth About Beauty" by Kat James and it really changed my way of thinking about myself for the better. Another book I read was by a british psychotherapist called Oliver James (are all these people related I wonder?) called "Affluenza" and it too suggested that real beauty comes from celebrating your own uniqueness and being creative in your expression of your beauty rather than slavish adherence to a fake hollywood ideal. I think that sometimes certain beauty standards like the super skinny look for example become part of our notion of ideal beauty whether it is actually attractive or not, it's just the exposure to seeing these things all the time that can lead us to believe they are. |

The recipes do seem easy to make. Some ask for really simple items you have in your home, while some others you might need lavendar oil or crushed up baby asprin.
The most surprising thing was they had the fact in there about soap.
"It destroys the natural acid mantle, the skin’s protective PH layer that protects it from infection, bacteria, and dehydration. It also removes the skin’s natural water-soluble moisturizers, humectants and salts. Instead of lathering up in the morning use an acid bases exfoliant that is sulfate free. And before bed, you’ll need an oil based cleanser because oil breaks down oil." |
