Hello everyone.
I was wondering if there is a "correct" way to cleasne and tone your skin.
For example, there was a diagram in the latest bottle of toner I purchased which indicated that you should start with your forehead, then nose, cheeks (in the direction from your nose to ears), then temples, around the lips (upper and lower), proceeding to the neck (going from bottom of the neck to the chin) and finishing off with the chest ... hope that makes sense!
Anyone have any techniques they always follow? Does it really matter? Thoughts?
Thanks,
Ulana |

I don't know if it matters, but I don't think it does. I use different cleansers and toners differently though. Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream comes with its own set of instructions that are pretty important to follow. However, if I am using just a normal cleanser then I massages it on and then rinse off. If it has AHAs in it I might leave it for a few minutes before rinsing off. In terms of toner, I tend to spray Dr Hauschka toner onto my palm and then press onto the skin. The Jurlique Rosewater toner I simply spray on my face directly, and other toners (eg. Phytomer Face Dew or Marin) I use on a piece of cotton wool. It's just personal preference but it does depend on what you're using the toner for I suppose. |

The only cleansing product I consistently use as directed is the Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream...I am not really true to anything else in terms of cleansing..I use a cleanser from one line and a toner from another and I might switch one out half-way through the week....If I'm exhausted I'll slap it on and rinse or use a cloth to wipe it off...I'm not terribly loyal when it comes to make-up removers...I just make sure that I am satisfied that my skin is cleansed.
