I visited my aesthetian yesterday and mentioned DECLEOR to her as i am very excited to get my package any day now. And then she said 'Ohh ohhh, that stuff will clog your pores' !!! She advised me that Decleor is oil based and apart from the smell its got nothing much to offer. And now i'm sooo soo SAD !! I spent a lot of my time and money and i have not even gotten the product , let alone try it ! But this comment has gotten me very worried. I know i should try it out BUT ........
I have normal to combination skin i would say and the products i ordered are -
Foaming cleanser
Cleansing milk
Aromaessence Neroli
Hydra floral cream
Essential balm
Lip balm
Tonilastil cream etc etc
So if any of you have tried these products, i'm all ears .......

No, these products should not clog your pores. No worries, because from what you've ordered, I see that you haven't ordered anything that too rich for your skin. All of these are conducive to combo. skin, and are non-comedogenic. Their ingredients are essential oils, plant derived ingredients - mineral oils & overly rich products are what tend to cause congestion. |

I am worried now about Decleor. I have just bought a full size jar of essential balm and have been applying it each night and it is lovely. I must admit i have read Paula Begoun's book and that frightened me to death, she doen't rate decleor at all or much else for that matter, can you really put my mind at ease and say it won't clog my pores.
many thanks |

Definitely NOT True.
Essential Balm is completely non-comedogenic and it will not clog pores of even the most oily skin. Essential Balm has purifying properties. Every aesthetician has her own preferences in suggesting skin care products. My opinion is that aromatherapy is one of the most powerful healing techniques of the human skin and all body. I agree that there are some aromatherapy oils which are highly comedogenic but you will not find them in Decleor products. In fact Ylang Ylang oil is one of the most recognized , natural acne treatments. Decleor Essential Balm is a must have product for everyone. I use it on my baby's skin when she has a rash, cracks or eczema.

Hi Soki and jvallen71,
I don't think Decleor products will clog pores. I have tried the samples which EDS sent to me. The aromaessence and balm are great for purifying the skin and did not clog my pores.
Thanks EDS for the great samples.

I heard 'sweet almond' clogs pore. Decleor velvet cleansing milk has sweet almond. Is this product non-comedogenic or comedogenic?? |

Dear Soki,
I have used many, many Decleor products and not one of them has ever clogged my pores or made me break out and I have extremely sensitive skin. I especially love the "whitening aromessence" which I put all over my face (even around my eyes) without any irritation. I have used the Velvet Cleansing Milk and my skin remained clear. Paula Begoun does not like any products except her own. I know she has made a mockery of "La Mer" which I am now using and just love!! So, enjoy Decleor. Their products are great! P.S. I have tried some of Paula's products and they were extremely irritating to my skin. I know she has a big following of people but I am not one of them. |

It is my first day to use newly ordered decleor line. Cleansing oild, cleansing milk, lotion, hydral matt fluid, t-zone matt, I just love it, especailly for comb.-skin. T-zone matt makes my face look non-shiny anymore. |

You know, I think it's great that our aestheticians are willing to offer their expertise, but I think the BEST advice that I've recently gotten is "try different products and stick to what works with your skin." I was actually trying to ask my aesthetician to recommend a moisturizer, but she wouldn't budge -- she kept telling me try different products and I would find something eventually.
Despite what people say about products (too much oil, will clog pores, etc.), I think it's logical that our skin reacts to different products differently. There are those who can use over-the-counter $5 face washes and have PERFECT skin, whereas I have to use $40 face washes to conquer my skin condition. Sad, but true! All the famous products are famous for a reason -- they're high quality, well-recommended products; but surely they're not all going to work with your skin type.
So good luck with Decleor. If it doesn't work, that's fine -- but it might not be because it "clogs pores" or contains extra oil. Maybe it's just not fit for your skin, you know?
Alright, that was a long answer, but I just wanted to share. Don't automatically feel overwhelmed or stressed out by one person's opinion on a skin product -- because we are all very very different! |

This is excellent stuff. It really cleans out your skin and leaves it glowing. I wouldn't worry about it clogging your pores at all in fact it will unclog them! |

That's great to hear! I've been wanting to give this a try but I wasn't too sure about it and I've been worried about blackheads. Now I'm definitely going to be ordering it! |

Dear User! Dont be swayed by your aesthetician. I have tried a ton of other stuff out there and my skin only recently started looking great due to Decleor. ALL its products are fantastic. I (and a few people I know) have used the products that you purchased. Let me tell you! This stuff is bottled YOUTH and BEAUTY. It smells delicious and works wonders! Tell your lady that she really should reconsider! Any beautician worth her weight will know these are great products!
Hope this helps!

The essential balms do feel kind of like wax, but I've never had any problem with them clogging my pores. I've been using Decleor for a few years now, and I think it's a great line. |

No worries to those who have not tried Decleor products - I've been using them for years and I combine them with other brands as well. The oils naturally balance your skin type from combo-sensitive (me) to people with oily skin. My sisters and a few friends have also switched to Decleor and everyone loves the line. Don't be fooled by oils - too much cleansing with harsh foaming products strip the skin and the oils in Decleor are not synthetic or produced, so your skin will be balanced, clean and love them up. |
