Hi ellet, I am in the same boat. My skin was thinned by my doctor, as a side effect he did not warn me about. It is now as thin as the skin of a woman twice my age. I have started to use CPs or Copper Peptides, because they have been medically proven to thicken skin. Look under Skinbio on this forum. CPs need to be used very sparingly around the eye area though, or else they cause the "uglies". There are a couple of threads on CPs and they can give you fantastic advise on how much to use. I have used them on my body and seen results, but I have just started to use them around the eyes. SkinBiology has a lot of information on its site and some specially formulated eye creams. If you buy one, definitely get the weakest one, or your skin could sag. You have to work up to the stronger ones. I am also looking for a good dark circle remover, because allergies and the thinned skin have left their mark. I am thinking about ordering Cellular Skin Rx Eye Bright from EDS - check it out. As to why your skin thinned - did you have any steroid injections for pain ? Have you had sudden changes in your hormones? Have you changed your diet or started a new drug? Some times extreme stress can cause changes in cortisol levels, and that can do it too. Take extra vitamin C because without it the body cannot make collagen. I have heard - although I do not know if it is true - that taking collagen orally does not work very well. I was also told to take vitamin K to help with the under eye darkness, because it help with strengthening the veins. I am giving it a go and hoping. |

What causes it? Definitely a bad sleep schedule,Click the eye with the pulp often the skin, promote blood circulation, to improve dark circles |

IMO taking collagen does not help the eye area. |
