Hi

I have some really bad wrinkles under the eye and some on my forehead. Otherwise I have a decent skin for a 40 year old man. I need help for my really really bad wrinkles.

Over last 2 months I tried retin a [3 to 5 times a wk] and a home microderm tool a couple times on my forehead and face. While retin a improved my skin, it did nothing for the under-eye wrinkles [if anything those got worse]. The deep wrinkles on my forehead looks much better/smoother [with microderm? or retin a?].

I have brown skin color [but I am lighter than most brown people] and my skin is normal [or normal dry]. My skin is thin and sensitive. I went to a doctor he said lasers are not good for brown people and I should go for an under eye surgery. I do not want to go under the knife for this.

Do you think light chemical peels [like 30-40% lactic acid peels] can help? what if I do six light peels? I am under the impression that TCA or powerful peels can discolor brown skin [specially I have a thin skin which is probably why I am lightly colored. FITS IV ? may be]

Do you think argireline, matrixyl 3000 or a combination can help? Can you recommend something specific that is known to work?

My forehead wrinkles diminished a little bit and that little change made me really look younger on that part. My forehead brings up the deep wrinkles with an expression [like a laugh] but thats natural. Undereye wrinkles and some coarseness on that area is making me feel sad.

I got most of the wrinkles in last one or two years. May be I tried to use something under the eye and did not use the sunscreen. Which made things worse.

I am trying to see solutions other than surgeries, botox and fillers. [Long term solutions without much risk].

I am also looking for a miracle temporary solution that hides the wrinkles. [external collagen?]

I would like to hear about laser experience for under eye wrinkles [specially for light skinned brown people].

Thanks for any help.

wrinklyeyes, you need to stay on the Retin A for at least 6 months before you will see a difference in the wrinkles. It is probably the dryness making your wrinkles look worse in that area, so you could use the Retin A and then add an eye cream on top of that.

As a temporary fix you could try Easy Eye Solutions. There's a thread on it in the review section. It's mostly for bags, but does work on the wrinkles too.

Here's the link.

There's pics of people's results in the thread also.
