Hi
I'm starting to run out of Vit C Serum and was wondering if the C + E or C + AHA might be better in terms of results.
Can anyone advise? Is the C + E and C + AHA tougher on your skin?
Thanks

I think they would be more beneficial. The C+E will give you more protection, whereas the C+AHA will also exfoliate your skin at the same time. I would say that the C+AHA would be tougher on skin. This is not to say that you will feel a differnce, but, in my opinion, it has more potential for irritation if you have sensitive skin. |

I agree that C&E is more beneficial that C alone - also depends on what strength of Vit C you were using before? The C&E has a 15% L-ascorbic acid whereas the Vit C alone starts at 10% strength. |

Hi
Thanks very much for that. I'm using the 15% strength serum so I hope the C + E will be fine.
Do you think the C + E may help with a scar?
Thanks

Not sure about that - it's more to help prevent premature signs of ageing. It does say that it helps stimulate collagen production, so that can only be good! Maybe there is another product you could use specifically for the scar in addition to the C&E? |

It might help - opinions on that are divided. After I had an op the surgeon told me that the best thing I can do is to burst vit e capsules and massage the oil into the scar. I know some people agree with that and some don't. My scar healed up very nicely - I'm not sure if vit E had anything to do with it or not. |
