You must be so excited! The Ambrosia sounds so lush and lovely and I hear that the chocolate mask is pretty fantastic too. I can't wait to try them myself and would be waiting anxiously to know what you think of the products. I know that Elizabeth uses nothing but the best ingredients which is why the products work so well despite it's short ingredient list. Do share quick!! LoL. |

Hello Ravenly,
I have the Ambrosia Cream and the Champagne Mist. What exactly do you mean "how long does it take to work?"
The products work immediately in the sense that the Ambrosia is extremely moisturizing and melts right into your skin leaving it exquisitely hydrated and moist. The Champagne Mist is hydrating and soothing. But, do you have a particular skin issue that you want cleared up? If that's the case you can always email Elizabeth because she answers all of her emails.
I love Rosa Y Frutta products. After using these products you'll never want to put another chemical ingredient on you skin!! |

I got my order last week (Ambrosia and the scrub). I haven't tried it yet (I'm still giving Sircuit a go at the moment) but I'm wondering exactly how you use the Ambrosia. It looks *so* rich that I'm a bit afraid to use it - although having used (and still using) the Decleor balms perhaps I should know better. Mine seems to have the consistency of Vaseline - is that normal? How much do you use Leeleedeedee and do you apply it on damp skin or completely dry? |

I've been eyeing the ambrosia for some time. Does anyone have experience using this on oily skin? TIA ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

Mabsy - I wouldn't compare my Ambrosia cream to Vaseline so I'm just wondering if you ordered the Ambrosia in the new formula - the one made with Sea Buckthorn?? I think Elizabeth calls it Ambrosia Gold Deluxe or something like that. My Ambrosia looked rich but no, I wouldn't compare it to Vaseline. I used the tiniest amount of Ambrosia and found that the cream just glided on my skin like silk and melted right in. You can dampen your face first with a mister (I have the Champagne one) but I just use the Ambrosia on dry skin. The Champagne Mist I like to use at night before bed.
Chimera - the ingredients in the Ambrosia are supposed to balance the skin therefore good for all skin types.
To me, the cream was rich yes, but because it sunk right into the skin the face didn't look like a pot of oil.
Let us know how you like the products. |

I just love hearing talk of RYF!!!! I am literally licking my Ambrosia bottle as I'm just about cleaned out! I had to use my Skinceuticals Emollience today - no comparison, especially in this frigid weather here in New England. I think we got up to a whalloping 5 degrees today and my skin didn't stay hydrated at all.
Mabsy, you need the tiniest bit of Ambrosia. A little goes such a long way. There are those who just use it at night -- depending on what your skin thinks of it -- but even those with oily skin say it works great for them and that they use it morning and night. I love it - I must order more but I am so broke from the holidays, I have to wait and its killing me. The Ambrosia and the Champagne mist are my must haves. I think I had the old formula and can't wait to try the new one.
Elizabeth is always coming out with something new too. She's got some other items that I'm jonesing to try. Alas, the pocketbook is empty at this time. Holidays always break me.

Thank you both for your feedback. When I said Vaseline I meant that that's what it reminded me of in terms of how it looked in the jar. On the skin it does actually melt (literally!), plus it smells lovely! I will try it in a week or so, I just need to give my skin a bit of a break at the moment from all the new stuff that gets thrown at it. I'm really regretting not buying the trial size of the mist. However I compensated myself for it today by getting the 100mL Jurlique Rosewater Spray (I caved - what's new?!) ![Embarassed](images/smiles/redface.gif) |

Okie, I already have my heart set on getting this no matter what now. But, I'd really love to know what other fabulous results is everyone getting from the ambrosia besides the radiance and the glow? Also, is the chocolate mask a truly must-have? (either way I am Craving it so bad)
Thanks so much! |

Fenn - the Ambrosia cream is heaven in a jar For someone like myself with dry, allergy prone, sensitive skin the Ambrosia is truly an all-day hydrating cream that glides on the face like silk, melts right into it and immediately fades the little dehydration lines that I always seem to have (these Canadian winters are horrible!!) The skin in hydrated, moist and supple. And, as stated above, it is unbelievable that the smallest amount can hydrate the entire face. It's also great to know that Ambrosia contains the highest grade ingredients that "balance" the skin so allergic reactions are almost rare (although skin can be sensitive to even the best of ingredients.) Hope this helps you if you have anymore questions feel free to ask. |

Couldn't have said it better myself. For me, the Ambrosia is one of the best things I ever did for my skin!

Thanks for sharing your wonderful experience with the Ambrosia, you've certainly managed to up the ante on my lust for it. So it really does help with smoothing out fine lines too? My skin is dry and prone to dehydration despite living in a humid climate so I'm sure I'm going to love this cream as well. I can only pray that it will be able to withstand it's arduous journey all the way here. :/ |

Fenn - not to worry about the shipping. Elizabeth is a real professional about that but you can also just email her with your concerns about the products travelling overseas and she'll do her best to accomodate. She's that wonderful!!
My skin is dehydrated as well and the Ambrosia is wonderful for that. Now, I have the old formula which Elizabeth still sells but there is a new version called Ambrosia Gold Deluxe (or something like that) and perhaps it's even better. Well, I don't know if it's better but it has a bit more ingredients like Sea Buckthorn, Jasmin, Frankincense (this essential oil is supposed to be really anti-aging) but right now I'm still happy with the Ambrosia I have. Truly, all of her products are great!! |

I have absolutely no self control. I have been using the Ambrosia cream for about 2 months now everyday without switching and trying something new which is unusual for me. I now have an order in for her new Ambrosia deluxe and cannot wait to try that. The original Ambrosia is so hydrating and does not aggravate my sensitive skin. She has fabulous customer service also. |

I to am a newbie on this board. And came here to do some reviews of MD Formulations whic i have used before and was considering using again. But having read this topic i was thinking of trying the Ambrosia cream. As it gets such wonderful reviews. My skin is not to bad for somebody who is 38 and i do look a little younger (even if i say so myself) But it has currently become de-hydrated and very taute. I need to re-hydrate.
Would this product be good for me. |

I just made an order. Liz advised me on several things, but I couldn't get everything right now. What I did order is the trial sizes of the Champagne de Rosa and Rubi Deluxe which was called the Ambrosia Deluxe, but now has changed to Rubi Deluxe. I also ordered the Lustre de Rosa. So basicly I ordered two moisturizing products and one toner. I am looking forward to getting everything and seeing how they work on me. If the Rubi Deluxe doesn't give me any problems and my skin likes it, I will probably buy some for my Mom. I'll advise what I think of everything after I get it and use it for a bit. |

I got a trial of the Rubi Deluxe with my last order of the regular Ambrosia, and Liz has done it again. It's very nice, super emollient, so much so, that I only use it at night and my skin wakes up so soft the next day!
The regular Ambrosia is still my holy grail day cream, tho I may switch to the Lustre for the summer as it is a lighter version of Ambrosia.
Love this line, and Liz is great.

Penelope I would advise you to take another look at the website and if you still don't see it send Liz an email. I know that she is working on the site right now. The other day the Rubi trial size was not listed and I sent her an email and she had simply missed putting it back up after she had done some adjustments. She emailed me about the oops and I went to the web site right away and it was there then as she had put it right back up. |

I just received an email from Elizabeth (Liz) with the following information. She has changed the name of the Rubi/Ambrosia Deluxe to "Gold Berry & Rose Hip". The cream contains both golden sea buckthorn berries and rose hip seed oil. The reason for the name change is that it is more descriptive of what it is.
Elizabeth replied to my email inquiry within an hour. Wonderful customer service!
I'm off to purchase this AND the Lustre de Rosa Moisturizing Mist right now. |
