hey~ Laughing
Boots has been pretty hot in asia these few years... i have been reluctant to try out these products even after hearing loads of good stuff about it from my family and friends who have tried it before...

i know boots is originated from UK... so you girls from the UK, are there any good products to recommend? i especially want to try out some of their masks...

i heard the No.7 hydrating booster is very recommended. as well as Botanics: Quenching Mask, Vitamin Recovery and conditioning Clay Mask

farouk,

Some people are very happy to use street brands. and some even get good results from them.

Boots is a great chemist/pharmacy. I have lived overseas before (I am from the UK) and the one shop I always miss is Boots as they always have everything you need.

I must admit though, I don't really use their own brand products but that's not because they are not good, I just prefer other specialist brands which they dont stock.

To be honest No7 brings me out in a rash ( the skin care products) but I have used their mascara's etc in the past.

Botanics, I've only ever used their hair care range and that left my hair greasy, their hairspray didnt have any kind of hold at all..

I do use Max Factor Lip Finity which I buy at boots!!

Some of the Boots Time Delay range gets really good reviews on MUA and in the Beauty Bible. The larger Boots stores stock some great lines like REN, Korres, Dr Irena Eris, Danielle Ryman, BeneFit, Urban Decay etc.
My boyfriend rolls his eyes whenever we spy a large Boots store. He knows once I'm inside the door he'll be standing around for ages waiting for me while I have a browse. Laughing

I love Boots, the moment I go back home it's one of the first places I go to stock up on stuff that is not available in N.America!!! I don't use any of their own brand items but LOVE boots!

boots time delay cleansing balm is really good and very cheap, though they have revamped the container and the formulation so the new version may be crap...I'm still only halfway through the one I bought 2 months ago so I'll be a while before I get to try it. They also have a light reflecting serum which is really nice on older skin as it softens the lines, but doesnt have that horrid fake pearly look. I can't see the point in their eyebright cream though...I bought it after a rec on handbag. I've had a sample of the No 7 oil and water eye makeup remover and that was nice, so I may get that, but I don't really go a bundle on the No7 range generally.
Best thing about boots is the advantage card as you can get points which you can then spend on something nice Very Happy
I wouldn't take any notice of Farouk...since he's got hooked on the gay skincare ranges, he thinks anything off the high street is pants! Wink

PS love you really Farouk, but you shouldn't be so rude Razz

Liz - could you translate that sentence into American for me?? What is "high street" (I'm guessing it means cheap or inferior??) and the reference to "pants" really has me stumped!

High Street is the main street in a town, where you find all the regular chain shops, like boots etc. I guess that walgreens is your equivalent? In the uk you find the same shops from london to penzance to edinburgh. They all have prominent positions on the high st where most folk shop.
If something is pants, it means that it sucks or is rubbish. Pants in the UK are knickers not trousers, like in the US

doing all I can to ease anglo american relationships Laughing
