My friend has been using Philosophy's Hope And A Prayer for some time now and asked me if i could make her a DIY dupe.
After checking the ingredients i see that some of the main actives are Ascorbic Acid, Zinc & Copper.....
... I could have sworn you werent meant to use metals within 12 hrs of VitC due to it causing a reversal of the anti-oxidant action of the AA - hence causing a pro-aging result to the skin rather than anti-aging?
Is this correct, or has my brain gone wappy due to information overload lately?!
If im right, i cant understand why such a well-respected company as Philosophy, charging high prices for apparently superior products, could sell a product that at best will do nothing positive for your skin, and at worst cause accelerated aging.
Im confused! |
