I started using Obagi a little under a week ago. I'm using the foaming wash and exfoderm morning and night. The thing is I haven't experienced any peeling whatsoever and was wondering if I need to use another product for it to work?
I've ordered the Clear but it hasn't arrived yet if that helps. |

Hi Frrh,
To get the best results, you might need to look into ordering the Blender and Retin A (tretinoin.) The Nuderm products work best when used together and when you are following the correct protocol. |

Hey,
Thanks for the response. I will eventually get the blender and retin-a but I'm just a little confused because I was under the impression that it's the exfoderm that is responsible for the peeling. Is that not the case? |

It's likely that the Exfoderm could cause peeling on its own, but for me, I think it was the combination of the products -- in particular the Blender/Retin A. |

Exfoderm is an exfoliant and usually will cause a small amount of flakiness but the notable amounts of sloughing when on Obagi is the cumulative effect of the retin A + blender and the exfoderm. The exfoderm helps slough off the dead skin cells on the surface while the retin A helps speed the new cell generation. The increase in cell turnover then causes even more dead skin to be available for exfoliation with the Exfoderm. |

I agree with its_Kristy. To get a best result, you should follow the protocol from Obagi website with full set of Nu derm products. I did follow all protocol except Retin A when I first started Nu derm. It didn't work. So I added Retin A and Voala it works.. why don't you wait until all products come. |
