i'm going to start a thread documenting my use with the godiva lip gloss so people can know if it works ( which it does ). in two weeks i'm going to take a picture of results, maybe.

before use: my bottom lip is perfectly pink, nearly, but has some browning on the sides as effect of chapping and sun exposure. my top lip is a dark brown but there is obviously a reddish tone.

as a child: both my lips were pretty red.

how i'm using it: 2-3 times a day, and exfoliating my lips when i use a scrub on my skin at night and day. i don't eat until the lip gloss has completely dried from my lips, most of the time.

looks of the lip gloss: clear, looks like vaseline. has no smell whatsoever or taste.

day 1: nothing much to talk about of course, but i definitely see a slight lightening effect so far.

beginning of day two: my upper lip is really getting pinker.

Anyone have reviews about the Godiva Lightening Gloss? I really want to try this product, but not really interested in thier other stuff. Since the minimum purchase price has to be $20, that means i have to buy 4 lip balms just to qualify.

I don't really want to do that unless its worth it. Advice anyone?

heh. sorry for slacking off, but on day 2 there wasn't really much change, and on day 3 there wasn't either, but there was more reddening.

day 4: my upper lip is now a dark red. my bottom lip is now a brighter, redder color.

ParasiteEve, I don't know if you want to really buy 4, one alone i find could last really long.

But I really do think it's worth it, nevertheless. Especially because i think the skin on your lips will lighten faster, since it's so thin. that's why i think my upper lip has been lightening so fast! i'm really glad i bought this, really am. I figure by a month or two by lips will be equally red.

also, a tip for using it:
I personally would rub it into your lips real good upon application, until your lips aren't greasy anymore, and I would use it 2-3 times throughout the day, or even, whenever you remember to. always exfoliate your lips too when brushing your teeth ( by brushing them gently ), or even using a scrub or soap on them, though it isn't needed. just speeds up things. you may also want to use sunscreen lip balm afterwards.

Thanks for your info Smile

You're right though, buying 4 of the lip gloss does seem to be quite too much. Bad Grin

But i really dun need anything else from there.

I just might have to scroll and see if there are any other items worth purchasing.

Thanks!!

Hello Parasite Eve! am also interested in purchasing their whitening lip gloss and actually keeping posted on what Ray has to say about it. Their godivaskincare.com website do have a minimum requirement of purchasing at least $20 dollars.

However their other site, http://www.i-godiva.com does not have that requirement. so you may be able to purchase only the lip gloss if you want, though i really do encourage you to try their other products because they really are all worth buying! I promise!

For the $5 lip gloss, you have to pay for shipping cost of course, which is fair enough i believe.

Yes they do have deodorants and soaps! Their Licorice Soap is my all time favorite! Its a transparent soap that smells great! ...Even though they have not included any fragrance in it.

I received my package of Godiva 's White Lico Lightening gloss Today. I ordered it late last week, so the delivery came earlier than I expected. The gloss costs about 5.50 per jar, with 10.00 delivery fee. I don't know how it will work, but I'm going to give it a try. All I can say is at the moment, is that it does look & smell just like Petroleum jelly. There is a slight smell after I thoroughly rubbed the product into my lips, but that's all. When I smell my fingers, I can smell a hint of what I recall licorice to smell like. I just hope the amount of petroleum does not overpower the effectiveness of the licorice. We'll see, I'll keep you posted with my progress Smile

I have been using the product for about 2 days, and I have already seen my lips lightening. My bottom & top lips appear lighter. This product works, I am a believer. I only applied it about three times a day, which is less than I applied gloss or chap stick. I made sure to rub it in well, and it lasts for a while. After my lips dried, they were still lighter. This is a great product. I'll keep you updated after about a week.

I've also run across a product called Fresh Up @ no dark lips. com. It is also for the lips & nipples. I was planning to try this in case the Godiva didn't work.

I just wanted to let everyone know that they are giving away free samples of this stuff on the website while supplies last. It takes 4-6 weeks, but hey it is free.

This stuff does not work!! I have been using it forever, and it was a huge disappointment. It worked for a little while, showed some progress, but soon stopped having the same effect. I was considering the Fresh Up lip product, but the free sample never arrived and it is too expensive to risk. I am now using a skin lightening product each night, and looking into laser lip lightening in my area. From what I've been hearing online, laser lip treatments are popular in India. I'll keep you posted.

I just ordered a tube of Fresh up from lanaboutique for $24.00. I noticed this product being offered for as low as $19.00, on other sites. I decided to pay through Pay Pal, just to be safe. They said I should receive it within a week, so here we go again. I hope uit works better than that godiva crap. I'll keep you all posted.

Okay People, here we go again! I just received my Fresh Up order. That was fast, came in less than a week. 15 ml tube of cream. The product is odorless, and did not sting upon first application, so we'll see. This product claims to gradually fade the dark pigment from lips, nipples, external genitals, elbows, etc. It also claims to achieve this within 3 days to a week….. I will only be using this on my lips, and I'll keep you all posted.

Okay, I have only used this product twice since purchasing it, and I'm still not sure if it works. I can say, after the two day usage, I noticed a difference. I need to try it over a longer period before I can report whether it really works for me. One thing I can say, is that this product turns hot pink when applied. It is white when it goes on, but quickly turns very pink, too pink to wear in public. Therefore, I'm limited to using it a night. I'll begin using it again tonight, and touch base in about a week.
