I put it on then sat too long in front of the computer, 20 minutes total, my bad. Everything is OK except I look like someone hit me in both eyes. The area at the bone under the eye is grossly red and wrinkled. Are there any product(s) or gadgets that will help me heal in a relative short period of time? I have emu oil on it right now. Was wondering if the dermawand would help. I don't want to do anything more until I hear from those with experience with this issue. Sunglasses will be worn today when I go out although it is raining and cloudy. |

I don't know if this will help you, but I'm tossing it in here just in case you may want to try it.
When I started using CP, one day I forgot to dilute it and felt as if my skin was going to peel. It felt very dry and wrinkly so much so that I panicked. What I did is take wet cotton strips, poured a moisturizer on them, then applied them to my face. It helped remoisturize my face. It was almost instantaneous. I didn't experience any peeling. The uninvited wrinkles disappeared while my old wrinkles remained.
(Is this called the Tanaka ? I'm not sure ) |

I think it's like a lotion mask eyebright, tanaka is a form of massage.
Good advice to replenish over taxed skin! |

Frodo,
What about using just some plain ole Aquaphor -- the ointment? I always have a tube of this around and it works great on skin that is overly dry, irritated, cracked, or peeling.
Good Luck! |

I have the Aquaphor so I will use this. If I had to order something it wouldn't arrive fast enough. I actually forgot about this as I used it when I had a CO2 peel done.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. |

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair is also very soothing and Jurlique Calendula cream too. Hope it settles down quickly for you. |

I've been there with the overdone pumpkin peel and one time I seriously had a burnt area for a few weeks or longer even. I learned to take it seriously. I tried everything to get it to calm down. I did not try aquaphor so that was probably what I needed. Fingers crossed this works Frodo. I always thought I had Rhino hide so was shocked to have this level of reaction. |

I wasn't up when my HB left for work so he didn't see my eyes. He came home tonight and just looked at me for the longest time. I told him I took up women's football and we all decided that red under the eyes would look better on all of us than the black stuff the guys use.
The aquaphor is very soothing and is really helping. I should be back to normal hopefully by Friday. |

Last night I was rummaging thru my stash and came across a jar of Tepezcohuite pomade and decided this may do the trick. Understatement for sure as the red under my right eye is gone and my left, the worse of the 2, is looking good. This product says it is good for burns. I expect that by Thursday I will be shedding like a snake because it really is a bad burn. My jar came with the soap that I bought on Ebay. I can't believe how fast it is healing. I used the Aquaphor knowing it is a good product because of my experience with it after my CO2 peel, but I have to say it doesn't hold a candle to the tepezcohuite.
