My age is 28 and I have fairly good skin.My skin care regimen includes Dr. Peter Thomas Roths skin lightening with kojic acid (To fade away subtle pigmentation/freckles).,Neutrogena SPF 15 moisturiser, Vitamin C 10% serum in the evening and before retiring to bed the same products as above.I get microdermabrasion done every month, and deep cleansing facial whenener needed.I take dietry supplements too.At my age is it advisable to use an antiwrinkle/firming product to prevent the onslaught of wrinkles? If so, what brand and/or what kind of ingredients should I look for in a product? I have heard a lot about skinbiology copperpeptide serum. Is it ok to use it at my age? or would it have any side effects? Also, for my subtle discoloration on my face... is it advisable to get the vasculight treatment done?Does it have any side effects?Thank you so much.

you can use copper peptides at pretty much any age, but you cannot use them in conjuction with vit C. You only need to use your c in the morning, so you could use cop peps at night. That's what I do. I can't advise on the vasculight and I'd wonder about having microdermabrasion EVERY month, though I guess if you aren't using any other exfoliating stuff it's probably OK.
If you are using a sunscreen regularly and are going to continue with C serum and maybe supplement it with cop peps, I would imagine that you are doing enough without going down the antiwrinkle firming line as what you are doing is already boosting collagen etc to the max. In fact you must look about 18 ![Laughing](images/smiles/lol.gif) |

I can't comment on the CPs but I would suggest you swap to using the vit C serum in the mornings instead to get the most out of it. Otherwise, as Guapagirl said, you're doing very well as long as the Neutrogena SPF15 is broad spectrum (I'm not familiar with it so I'm not sure). |

Thank you so much for the advice Just one more thing:What exactly are copper peptides? (Are they similar in function to AHAs)Is it ok for oily skins? As for the microdermabrasion,i need to take a total of 4 sessions as advised by my derm, within a span of 5 months....and then could taper it once every 3-4 months.I'm so glad I stumbled upon this site, thanks for the advice

This is the copper peptide forum run by skin bio, that has loads of info and the link at the top takes you to the skin bio site.
CPs are not like AHAs etc. They are more like super powerful anti-oxidants in that they mop up free rads and promote collagen production. loren pickart, the guy who invented them recommends using them with AHAs/BHAs and retinol/retin-a for maximum effect. I'm a bit of a newbie as far as CPs go, but I think queen pedaque and molly are long term users so maybe they can help more
