This is so weird. I posted this question about 2 hours ago, and now it's mysteriously disappeared.
So I'm wondering if anyone's tried to get to The Original Skin Store's website lately?
Whenever I try I end up at another site opening up soon...not theirs though. Have they closed down? I can't even find their website in google??? |

Thanks DM.
Looks like they may have closed down. That's disappointing I really like their peels.
Strange about our posts that's for sure. Maybe OSS has a spook |

LOL I think this economy is knocking a lot of businesses out! My favorite MMU is now no longer. |

It sounds like there were some domain issues with the site?

I have read the FAQs and checked for similar issues: YES
My site's URL (web address) is:www.theoriginalskinstore.com
Description (including timeline of any changes made):
After a day of trying to figure it out, I finally figured out how to verify my site using the meta tag option. I wanted to indicate a change of domain, and both the old domain (this one) and the new one are verified in thewww. format. However, when the domain name withoutwww. is typed into the address bar, it immediately expands to thewww.version. I do not understand how to even see much less add meta tags to a site that does not physically exist....I tried verifying using the same method I initially used with the code that was already there, but no joy (which I find strange since I do own both sites and at Aplus.net, my web hosts, it shows the actual domain registered with them as theoriginalskinstore.com without thewww.) But I do not have direct access to my DNS and my files, Aplus already goofed up trying to add the DNS snippet for me, so I am completely baffled as to how I am supposed to verify the non www version of my domain. None of the answers on the forum seem to fit, but if you think one does, please direct me to it. thanks in advance for your help. |

Oh right...thanks heaps DM.
I'm so glad they're still around. I'll just wait awhile before I try again then. |

They are not out of business, they had name/site change. This just happened about a month ago. I only know this because I received an email about it.

Hello everyone! This is Julie from what was The Original Skin Store and is now Skin Obsession. We are not out of business, despite the economy's best efforts! We underwent a name change and new site and labeling remodel back in August, but all of our products are exactly the same, as is the ownership of the company and everything else remains as it was. You can find us at the email mentioned in the previous post (it won't let me post it, I am a newbie here...Though of course if EDS carried my product line, you all would not have to go anywhere to find us...hint hint!)
Now I am off to do some shopping here on EDS since you always has such great products and prices...so many lemmings, so little time!
Best Always
Julie

Has anyone tried their Vitamin C serum? The price is certainly good. |
