What is your favourite cleansing oil?
Does anyone make their own homemade version? |

My favourite cleansing oil is my own concoction! You can get the recipe on the DIY thread.
If you want to buy one, though, I know a lot of people like Shu Eumura. |

I use my own cleansing oil ... and there are several of us on here who have been doing "OCM".
I've been using OCM exclusively for over a year now ... and my skin has never been better in my life.
I use about 50/50 grapeseed oil and castor oil ... with orange essential oil for fragrance.
I add salicylic acid to my cleansing oil ... and this has also helped my skin.

I love DHC cleansing oil. It's an olive oil one, with rosemary oil as well. It keeps my skin fresh and rosey looking even in the dry winter months. |

I do 50/50 Olive Oil and Castor Oil. Then I tone with witchhazel to make sure I removed all the oil. I have tried Shu Uemura (sp) and it works well too...I just like making my own...cheaper too! |

Is this the recipe for OCM? Where do you find salicylic acid?

I just use pure jojoba oil, castor oil seems a bit too thick and heavy for me.
I must be doing the process wrong because I still can't seem to get all my mascara off and also seems to seep into my eyes a bit because my vision blurs for a few minutes afterwards. |

I use Premavera Macadamia Nut Oil or Sesame Oil - they're beautiful on the skin and leave no oily residue. Sesame Oil is great for very oily skin and very dry skin. It's a great skin balancer. |

Dermalogica PreCleanse. I like the fact that it lathers and rinses off easily with no residue when water is added. |

I like this as well. I don't use it alot, but it definitely seems to work well and I love the smell (smells like lemons to me). |

The same thing happens to me when I use jojoba oil to take off my eye makeup. I assume its b/c the oil is so thin that it seeps more. Im always bumping into walls after I use it b/c I cant see... |

My fav is definitely the Decleor Cleansing Oil ...it gets rid of everything with just one application & doesn't leave any residue either. |

When I remove my eye make-up, I dilute the oil with hydrosol. I think it does the job better, and gives less blurry feeling. I use watermelon seed oil though, it's thinner than jojoba. |

oooh thanks for the tip! How do you exactly dilute it? How much oil to the hydrosol. I should check out watermelon seed oil that sounds interesting. I also have some rose hydrosol left over from when I made my HA serums. |

I just sprinkle cotton ball with rose hydrosol and then add a few drops of oil. |

Wait have I been doing the cleansing method all wrong? I probably use 1/2 tablespoon of oil on my face and basically massage it and also on the eyes to remove the make up. I've never used a cottonball at all. |

I don't use the cotton ball on my face, only on my eyes when I'm done with my face (I like it better). |

I like La Vitton's cleansing oil. The DHC made my skin feel dry and tight afterward, but I may revisit it in the future, if I can get a few samples together. |

I think my favourite cleansing oil so far is the Babor 2-stage one. I started out with Decleor (which I really liked) but then tried Bebor and found it to feel lighter and somehow easier to rinse off. The Dermalogica Pre-cleanse is very nice as well.
Another one I like, which is on the heavy side actually, is one by MooGoo (an AUstralian natural product company). They make different types of OCM for oily/normal/dry skin. http://moogoo.com.au/ |

I like that Moogoo offers oil cleansers in a dry skin formula. And that they give international pricing, although I didn't check out shipping cost yet to US [gulp]. |
