i'm going in soon, like this week or something...
but im wondering if it changed the way your face looked? like the jaw? i'm sure it takes up some space so it gives you a fuller jaw?
i heard rumors that angelina jolie got her teeth taken out in the back to give her more of that gaunt, sucked in cheek looks...
is this true, what were your experiences? |

I had my (impacted) wisdom teeth extracted when I was 14. I can't tell you whether or not removing them changed the shape of my face, because the teeth had never actually grown in when they were removed! I can see how your logic makes sense but on the other hand, it's not like they're removing that section of the jaw-bone where the wisdom teeth would have grown in, right? I just don't see how that could possibly make a difference...but then again, since I never had my wisdom teeth to begin with, I don't really have anything to compare to. Gee, I've certainly been a big help, right?!
Regarding the rumor about Angelina Jolie -- personally, I think it's a bunch of bunk, just another one of those urban myth-type things perpetuated by envious people....

Having your wisdom teeth removed will not change the contour of your face. When people lose more molars the face will get a sunk in look. People get dentures for that reason. Don't worry your face will be fine. Most of the population have to have their wisdom teeth extracted.
Hope this helps. |
