I'd never heard of eye patches containing product being sold before so now I'm wondering how I could make my own.
I'm thinking of just putting a bunch of cotton pads into a sealable container the same size, dousing them with some concoction, and then placing them by my bed for nighttime/morning use and making up a fresh batch every few days.
I just don't seem able to take the time to relax with my eyes closed & mask on any other time, so if I can do this, I may just be able to pull off some kind of occasional treatment with no messy prep work required. I figure at the very least it'll make it more convenient to apply a little extra castor oil to my lashes at night, lol.
Thoughts or suggestions? |

Olive, normal/oily skin. Using rinse-off ocm, Vit C, Tretinoin since Nov/10, GHK since Feb/12, Niacinamide & glucosamine, alternating, & now skipping nights! Concerns include oiliness, hyperpigmentation from occasional zits, 11's & nasolabial folds. |

I think that is a great idea.
This week I was unfortunate enough to contract "pink eye". I made my own compresses with cold tea bags just to ease the pain. Not only was it soothing, but it reduced the swelling and puffiness. So, my eyes look gross but.. hey, no bags under my eyes.
Anyway, the point of my story is that I forgot how simple compresses can make a difference. And it was really relaxing.
I think a concoction with green tea would be great. I would just really research to make sure the ingredients you use would not irritate the eyes. |
