I'm one of "those" people who run around on the 30th without having decided what they're doing for NYE. I can never make up my mind about where I want to go, who I want to spend it with. In the end I just end up tagging along with my friends to wherever THEY have planned to go. They are just as non-commital as me though so we have had our fair share of NYE disasters
Every year I tell myself that for next year I'll be good and *I* will be the one doing the organising. Hasn't happened again this year
I'm hoping you might all inspire me with YOUR plans ![Razz](images/smiles/razz.gif) |

I've never been a NYE celebrating type of person. I'm content to be at home basking because I don't have to get up for work the next day.

Hubby and I are off to Windsor (UK) for the evening with friends. Meal and dancing at the Jasmine restaurant until 1am, then taxi home. Works out we could get whole weekend away for the amount it costs us what with taxis etc!! |

We have a big party at my house. Being my birthday as well (although I am not having any more of those, infact the last one I had was in 2001 when I hit 40) but we celebrate anyway and I do still accept presents.
Then anyone who manages to stay the whole night gets Lori's big fry up for new years day breakfast.
Can I take this time to say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everybody. |

Well, after seriously overindulging at Christmas, staying home and relaxing (and watching the Sydney Harbour Fireworks on TV ) on NYE is sounding like a very tempting option! ![Rolling Eyes](images/smiles/rolleyes.gif) |

This year will be fun -- My BF and I will turn in early becuase we must be up at 6:30 a.m. to see the Rose Parade! He is a sort of a political activist in Pasadena, and did much volunteer work for the election this fall. Someone noticed, and sent him two free tickets, with great seats in the bleachers! I was actually IN the parade years ago, but didn't get to see it that year; I only saw MY float. I do remember how heavenly the place smelled. I'm looking forward to inhaling that fragrance again on Saturday. I'll wave to the camera, okay? ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

wow...weird idea having roses in january We are happy with mud here!
I have been invited to a cool party where I could wear my new (to me) gucci top, but it would mean my pa-in-law would be on his own and guapaboy won't take him to the party cos he is too embarrassing!
...so I can't go ...and that is after the xmas day from hell too
...maybe I should go on my own ![Bad Grin](images/smiles/badgrin.gif) |

Aw, that sucks Melissa! What time do you finish?
My best friend is also stuck working. Well sort of - he's on call for one of the hospitals. So he doesn't have to go to work but he can't really go anywhere or drink anything "just in case". Poor bugger! |

I'm done when the last couple wanders off the dance floor.... then to drive home 2 hrs, let's just say I'll get in around 4am.....
I have a dance band. New Year's Eve is just a given, never had the night off in 10 years, don't expect to in the next 10 years.
Have a great night everyone, and if you're out whooppppiiiinnngg it up, clap extra loud and buy the band's CD, you'll make their night! |
