Priori has launched a new range of skincare products containing coffee berry to compete with the Revaleskin coffee berry creams that came on the market last year.
EDS is now carrying the new Priori creams. The manufacturer claim the ingredients are 98.5 per cent natural. Then I think it's a pity they don't want to disclose the ingredients list.

Revaleskin contains 1 % coffee berry and contains lots of chemicals. Perhaps Priori is a better and more natural alternative.
Coffee berry is rich in four polyphenol antioxidants, amongst them ferulic acid. According to the articles below, topical coffee berry creams has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. Studies on the coffee berry as a topical antioxidant has been reported to the American Academy of Dermatology. The coffee berry creams have definitely caught my interest as there are some scientific studies showing that they are really able to work. Priori coffee berry cream is now on my wish list.

Coffeeberry has peaked my interest too. I'm not convined enough yet to make the splurge though.
It is too bad the ingredients are not listed on the Priori. I never buy anything anymore with out reviewing the ingredients. |

100% pure makes a caffeine eye cream that's really good and a whole lot less expensive than that... They also have an acai berry eye cream. |

Thank you for the ingredients lists, Havana8. I think EDS website should publish them. As far as I can see, the ingredients in these products look very good on paper. I hope for some reviews on coffee berry creams in the near future! |

Coffeeberry is getting a lot of buzz as the newest strongest anti-oxidant.
SAS has a coffeeberry cream that I have used and like. www.skinactives.com The prices of their actives and ready-made products are quite reasonable, so you can try all the latest without spending a fortune.
I use the coffeeberry cream over my Vivite glycolic products and see results in firming and smoothing. |

Ive read lots about coffeeberry as a wonderful anti oxidant. I do know that caffiene has a very tightening effect on the skin.
I am definetly going to look into these products. |

Just to clarify, coffee berry is different from caffeine. The two cannot be compared as ingredients in skin care products.
Coffee berry is the whole fruit of the coffee bush. It's a flowing red berry that contains the bean. |

Revaleskin coffee berry creams contain 1 % coffee berry. Priori doesn't publish the percentage of coffee berry in their cream, as far as I have seen.
Saz07 - I think you will have to look for a caffeine cream if that's what you want. I don't think coffee berry contains any amounts of caffeine to speak of.
P.S. If you have an email correspondence with Priori, maybe you could ask about the percentage of coffee berry in their creams. ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

from priori skin care's faq
http://prioriskincare.com/cb/faq.html
The concentration of CoffeeBerry® extract in the PRIORI brand products varies depending on the product. The highest concentration products contain CoffeeBerry® extract at 0.5% and are all products except for the PRIORI® Revitalizing Cleanser that contains 0.1% CoffeeBerry® extract. NOTE: 1% CoffeeBerry® extract skincare products are only available the physician dispensing market channel in Revale skincare by STIEFEL LABORATORIES |

That's enlightening, nibn, so the concentration in Revaléskin is twice as high as the serums and creams in the Priori range. |

Septembergirl so what product product do you think is better , priori with it obvious natural ingredients or revaleskin with a higher concentration of coffeeberry?
vitamin c's , niacinamide irritates me , remergent dosn't work for me ,and idebenone gave me hives
and I really need a antioxidant before summer ,
for the reference I am mostly irritation prone not breakout prone ,so how to chose? |

Hello, nibn.
Yes, which one is better - that's the question. Since you have had reactions to quite a few actives and antioxidants earlier, I would think you would be best off with Priori, as it has got the lowest concentration of coffee berry. If you are fine with it, you can move up to Revaléskin later. ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

I was looking into the Coffee Berry products, and they did look promising, but i didn't know much about their active ingredients.
I really appreciated all the info you ladies have posted, because it filled in quite a few blanks for me.
I hope we will get some posts in the near future from people who have used the products. |

I tried the priori brightening complex and I really liked it but it's so expensive. However, I'm thinking of getting the priori body emulsion in the future. For the amount of product you get, it's a whole lot less expensive and looking at the ingredients, I don't see that much difference between the body emulsion and the other products so it should be good. The body product somehow has a higher % of natural ingredients than the other products and I think the % of coffeeberry is the same.
Septembergirl, what do you think about that? |

Hi, Nimue.
If I understand you right, you plan to use the body emulsion on your face. My guess is that the body product contains high amounts of water, sunflower oil and argan oil (the first three ingredients on the list), but as you say, it seems to contain 0.5 % coffee berry extract. I guess it won't harm your face?
I am glad to hear that you like the Priori Coffee Berry brightening serum. I got the Priori Coffee Berry firming serum as a free gift from EDS in my last order and look forward to trying it. I think I will put it on top of my C serum. |

Hi Nimue.. did you get significant brightening from it?
I am lucky enough to have got an EDS voucher in a recent draw, so I thought I might try this product, on my decolletage, which currently looks like table cloth with spilled tea stains on it.. ![Crying or Very sad](images/smiles/cry.gif) |

Hi Catski,
I think it is a good product. I got it as a free gift just like Septembergirl got her Priori product as a free gift. I felt it did make my skin "glow" and I did want to use it. I think it did do some brightening, at least more than any other product I've tried. It also smelled really nice. I didn't break out or anything from it, and I have combination skin, so I think it's ok for acne.
If I were you, I would get either the night complex or the body treatment. The night complex because it doesn't have those minerals to give a soft focus effect but won't actually do anything- silica and mica (unless you want that effect) or the body emulsion because it's the best value for your money and the ingredient lists are so similar that I don't think it'll be a huge difference.
Anyway I think you should totally use the 50$ voucher to try something you wouldn't let yourself otherwise- splurge!

Septembergirl,
I got my Priori product as a free gift too. When I saw that a Priori gift was available- I felt like I had to order something, anything, from EDS just to get that free gift. When I'm done with it, I'll probably get the body emulsion and I'll use it on my face and chest. I've examined the ingredient lists and they look reaaally similar so I wouldn't be willing to pay the price premium just to get a different label- face as opposed to body.
I wouldn't put it on top of the C serum if I were you. Then again, I'm currently adopting the 302 philosophy of "less is more" so my advice should be taken with a grain of salt . I wouldn't want to layer actives over one another, it's possible it's too much for the skin to deal with. I think the coffeeberry is powerful enough on its own to qualify as an active.
